Ineresting article from Creighton Rivals site-
http://creighton.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1184068

It seems there is a lot of bitterness toward Dana Altman for leaving without saying he is sorry, and some anger toward McDermott and his coaching. The Creighton players aren't spared a lot of blame, too-

I understood why (Coach Altman) was leaving the Jays, just look at the roster mess he left behind....

Coach McDermott was handed a group of underachieving players who do not know how to compete.

Heck, the wing players cannot pass the ball into the post with any consistency, a basic fundamental to the offense.

The most ill picked MVC Preseason Player of the Year (Kenny Lawson) ever disappears for long stretches in most games and would rather shoot threes than rebound.

I'll never forget....listening to former player after player question the heart and will of the guys wearing their old uniforms.

While our season has been a train wreck, is there any more disappointing or underachieving team in the league than Creighton? I see a bunch of players on their roster that I would love to have, and then I look at their record and scratch my head. That team shouldn't be 6-6 in this league.

Would UNI be the runaway league champ had Doug McDermott gone there?

Is this where I pull out the joke saying this would never happen if Altman were still there....

if Altman were still there, then Doug McDermott would not be there -- PLUS Dana would still probably be kissing up to P'Allen trying to ride him for a few points every night....tanking his team's chances of success in the process.
Thus...if Dana's still there, we win by 20

I actually like both DA and McD......this was a nice win for sure but we need to win some more games before this one really means anything

It obviously means Creighton is not very good.

they are 6-6 in the Valley....one game doesn't define who you are...we need to win some more games.....I'm happy for the team we just need to keep it going now....we could win at least 5 more games...but we have proven we could lose them as well.....

Wow. Korver provides some bulletin board material for the Braves locker room. ???This is a huge setback,??™??™ Korver said. ???When you??™re playing the worst team in the league and you can??™t close out, it hurts.???

Unfortunately, what he says is true.

I'm sure to the players and coaches who have been working their butts off, this win means a ton.

all I mean is there isn't much difference between 1 and zero wins in the Valley..........we still need to win some more games....maybe we go undefeated in February
