Wow that was B.S. that that wasn't a 3 point play for Salley at the end. I HATE Creighton, especially Dane Watts. How did we go from blowing this team out by nearly 30 to losing to them twice within a week?
What was with Ruffin, yet again, jacking up a stupid shot late in a big game? He's been a great player for us, but how many times has he done that? No need for a contested 3 with 1:30 to go.
But then, down by 3 at the end, we decided to dribble the clock to 5 seconds and take a 2. Yeah... that makes sense.
The Salley call on the floor effectively cost us the game, as instead of being up one we were back down three ... terrible call.
I can't believe we didn't attempt a three with the last possession. I know what the theory is ... but if you wanna go for a two (and maybe a foul), you've got to get going MUCH faster and not waste so much time. Regardless of how bad we were from the 3 pt range, this is a team of shooters, someone should have taken a three to tie ...
Now how about some recuiting talk!............we need something positive....I don't want to hear about the come-back...they shouldn't have been in that position to start with IMO....terrible 1st half and this season is toast!
Yes... I don't have a problem with taking the two down three late, but if you are going to do it you had better do it in a hurry. After Ruff missed the first we had virtually no chance.
Coach Les said in the postgame ***paraphrasing*** "The refs said we're gonna let those plays go, when a player has a clear lane to the basket. With the Salley play ... they obviously 'changed that philsophy.'"
Les never outright calls out the refs, but he obviously is pretty mad about a few of the calls that were made ...
