First, I also want to congratulate Paula Buescher for a geat job this year, and for being voted by her peers as the MVC Coach of the Year. Thanks also to BU for being patient and keeping Paula around.
As Ken Kavanagh says in the great PJ Star column by Kirk Wessler--
By Buscher’s own admission, she is not a patient person. The delays in the promised replacement of the Field House were frustrating. Rival coaches constantly used the old airplane hangars against her in recruiting. Progress of the program was equally slow, if not indiscernible.

Kavanagh stood by her, though, liking what he saw in Buscher’s commitment to the entire Bradley package. She was strong on academics. She bought into the Bradley family. She hired good assistants, recruited good kids. And she started getting closer to some top-quality prospects.

“I try to judge our coaches according to the resources they have,” Kavanagh says. “I try to have patience.”

I believe even Pat Summit couldn't have done much better here at Bradley these last 8 years with the previous facilities Paula had to work with. The Fieldhouse and the athletic training facilities were among the worst in Division I. But BU appears to be on the right track now, and Paula Buscher is an extremely talented coach and judge of character.

Today Bradley starts play in the 2009 MVC tournament in St. Charles, Mo.
They play in the 2nd game of the afternoon session at 2:30 pm against Indiana State.
The game is not televised anywhere.
It looks like audio can be heard through the BUBraves.tv--
