Buescher resigns

I think people may be making a bigger thing out of this than anything. It sounds like with a child on the way he's looking to make a change that will give him more time with his family. So I thank him for all he has done with the team, and hope they can hire a good assistant or two in short order.

Well this will make it easier to hire a top quality asst....of course now we need 2......I never thought we would get one as long as EB was assoc. head coach......

I like Eric alot and wish him and his family the best.

It makes one wonder w/a child on the way and a open BB coaches psoition available at the school his wife was at if he is going back to HS coaching.

Anyway, good luck EB in whatever you do.
What we have to realize is what many have said it is a long tireless, and if you don't win, thankless job. It can also play havoc on your family life as anyone who has spent much time coaching would know.

I thought that we needed two additional assistants when EB was here. I now think we need to hire 3 assistants.

Wow surprised at this news. Heard some other rumors but not this one. I agree with the sentiment we now will need to make 3 hires instead of the 2 I expected.

Anyway, best of luck to EB and thanks for all the contributions.

The only reason I could see bringing Willie Scott on for is making custom tailored suits for another incoming assistant....

Willie Scott (former BU player) is a successful head coach in junior college in Chicago. He is a friend of JLs, and he is as well connected in Chicago as anyone we could get here as an assistant. I saw him at a recent Bradley home game. I think Air Petey knows more than he's telling us.

I had not heard that about Willie Scott.

And all way too expensive...

I disagree on "too expensive" as they may be getting buyout packages and may be willing to take a slightly less salary to stay in the game.

Kent could probably go to another DI head spot right away, so I don't think he would take a lowly associate head spot, unless he felt he could be the heir apparent. I don't think Bradley would fit his desires or vice versa.

Lickliter might make the move and would help with defense.

Eric was a hard worker and always enjoyed listening to his scouting reports before the game, since he is leaving I would like to get 3 new asst"s with one of them being a strong recruiter in the mid-west.
