Buescher resigns

I disagree on "too expensive" as they may be getting buyout packages and may be willing to take a slightly less salary to stay in the game.

Kent could probably go to another DI head spot right away, so I don't think he would take a lowly associate head spot, unless he felt he could be the heir apparent. I don't think Bradley would fit his desires or vice versa.

Lickliter might make the move and would help with defense.

Yes, although "slightly less" may still be more than even Coach Les is making, which still is too much money, obviously...

Wow....there is a lot going on @ the Hilltop? Good Luck to EB in his next venture!
I hope the next asst coach has some in-game experience to help out duriing the games....and maybe be able to work with the bigs!

I would personally like to see someone completely and totally removed and unrelated to the program hired for the opening.

The ? isn't really whether he'll have experience...he will...

The real ? is will Les let his assistants have input and allow them to manage some players and other things in game...

As I see it, there will be 2 new assistants brought in, its up to Les, Cross, and the University to make the right decisions and bring in two guys that can give their all and elevate the staff and the program to the next level.

How about Ernie Kent, Licklighter (SP?),Vinny DelNegro.. Those are longshots that should be looking for work.

I don't know if you were serious about Vinny, but I like him and unfortunately the Bulls will probably not keep him. I thought about this the other day, but figured it probably wouldn't happen. I expect another guy with college coaching experience probably, but I'm just guessing. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Thanks a lot to EB, people on here have said you always worked hard, and that is always respected in my book. I wish you great success and happiness in you future, thanks for what you have done for BU!

3. I wonder if this will affect Chuck Buescher's involvement with the program?

Chuck's heart is with Bradley basketball and if asked, would do anything (within the rules) to help the program grow.

I also wish Eric the best. Great guy that will do wondeful where ever he goes. He did everything asked and more. Very dedicated to the BU program!

By the way I wasn't paying close attention at the time. I heard someone say that Morton seventh graders or eighth graders or maybe it was both had never lost a game. That would make for a nice group to coach in the near future.

Morton's 7th graders won a state title last year, but neither the 7th or 8th grade teams made it to the state tournament this year.

EB good luck in your future endeavor and thanks for becoming part of the BU family. Your family legacy will be remembered for a long time between what you and your dad has done for the program!

Just heard that the EB to Morton rumors are probably not true. He didn't make the final cut-mainly due to what the job in Morton would pay.
This is from a very reliable source but we all know how things change from 1 day to the next.
Have not heard anything on what his plans are though.

Wow..
He must have been making a lot of money.

The Morton job pays very well for a high school head coach.

The position entails

school teaching position
head basketball coach
head of summer camps.

Its really close to a 6 figure position with everything.

But he voluntarily walked away from all this money at BU? Who in their right mind would do that?

Huh? Am I reading that right? You are suggesting that the job of Morton High School basketball coach pays close to $100,000 a year?

I think you better check your facts on that one.

The package for the items listed above (all 3) will put most coaches at or around 6 figures.

I am headed into a meeting. I will show examples in a bit.

Thanks for allowing me to clarify
