BU's RPI Sunday AM

Here is the MVC's RPIs. Southern Illinois may have a bit more urgency today than Bradley. With a 38 RPI, and if they lose today (this game is considered a home game for SIU by the NCAA's RPI formula), they could be on the bubble.

One correction- SIU is actually 21-10. They lost to Division II Alaska Anchorage. Games against Div II teams don't count in the RPI, but the NCAA does look at them.
 
Not knowing how much the RPI is really going to be used by the selection committee this year, I think this is a bigger game for the Salukis than the Braves. However, a Bradley loss could push them down toward SIU's level and make things dicey for us next Sunday. Last year, UNI got in with a 37 RPI. This year, that ranking would probably not cut it. If BU takes care of business, we don't have to wait in the sweater section of JC Penney with SIU or Creighton. There are lots of bubble teams in other major and mid-major conferences looking to make a statement this week, and they could surpass the loser of today's game when all is said and done by the 12th.
 
During halftime of the game, BU was listed at #31 of the OFFICIAL NCAA RPI. I'd imagine it wouldn't drop too much with the loss. BU WILL be dancing
