Some Bradley fans remember Candace Parker from when she and her parents made the trip from Naperville down to Peoria to watch every home game her brother Anthony played in his 4 years at Bradley (1993-1997). She went on to become a 2-time USA Today National High School Player of the Year at Naperville Central HS, the Naismith Prep Player of the Year in 2003 & 2004 and Gatorade Female Basketball Player of the Year Award in 2003 & 2004. In 2004, she was named Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year, WBCA All-American and McDonald's All-American. She was also a consensus pick as Ms. Basketball in Illinois in 2002, 2003, and 2004. She was also the first woman to win the dunk contest at the McDonald's All American games. She went on to a terrific career at Tennessee, where she won numerous awards, and lead Tennessee to 2 NCAA Championships. And she was the #1 WNBA draft pick (in 2008 ) and has had a spectacular 13 year career in the WNBA with the Los Angeles Sparks.

She is an unrestricted free agent and has decided to play for the Chicago Skye in 2021. I might become a WNBA fan!

As most here know, Candace is the younger sister of Bradley Hall of Famer Anthony Parker who played at Bradley from 1993-1997. Candace and the Parker family spent a lot of time around Bradley attending every one of AP's home games, and most road games.
This is Candace Parker's second WNBA Championship. She also won one in 2016 with the Los Angeles Sparks. She also has 2 NCAA Championships with Tennessee, 5 straight Russian National League Championships, 2 WNBA MVP's, WNBA Rookie of the Year, 2 Olympic Gold Medals, and innumerable other pro and college awards.
