Carver Arena exterior

Is the new signage up on the exterior of the Civic Center? Reynolds said we'd be able to tell BU played basketball there just by driving by. Good idea that only took 3 decades for somebody to think about. Anyway if it's up, would somebody share photos for us out-of-staters? Thanks.

They did have giant projected "B" lighting up that wall by the entrance last week - now they have this...
I am impressed Dr. Reynolds - you are getting it done!!!

The large picture on the exterior wall is not illuminated. So at night it is hardly visible. I suspect that will be corrected.

there was talk that more and more Bradley signage will be appearing over the next several games both inside and outside

When I was walking up to Carver in the parking lot, I looked up and saw the B on the wall. It was striking and made me proud. It was very cool to see it as I approached the entrance.

I have tried to attach a few pics here, but I do not see any way to do it. I do see at the bottom that I may not attach files to posts. If I could, I would post the "B" all lit up on the exterior.

It's about time the Civic Center finally recognize who their best tenant is. This is really great news, and long overdue. With all of the budget shortfalls I've heard about in Peoria and with the PCC I'm curious as to how this was paid for. Anyone know? :?:

My guess is that Bradley paid for the banners and maybe for the cost of mounting, and the PCC hung them. Those are images printed on large vinyl tarp-like banners. Maybe one of our posters who is familiar with advertising can add more, but it's my understanding that ad companies now have large-format printing devices that can print highly detailed images and text like those at a relatively low cost.

Here are a couple examples of companies that produce large-format vinyl banners, similar to the ones Bradley put on the Civic Center-

These links show the large-format printers. It's my understanding that they work similar to your inkjet printer, only jumbo size-

The money to fund the messaging campaign was raised in large part during a 15 minute "donation blitz" at this year's auction. During that time over $50,000 was contributed specifically for this purpose by those in attendance. Dr. Reynolds unveiled the plan with his usual excitement and we all stepped up to the challenge. GAME ON!

I took this pic when I was walking up to the door for the game against Edgewood. I hadnt been to a game in a long time and it meant a lot to me to look up and see the B illuminated. I felt pride, like I was home again. Hard to expain. I am so glad to see the work of Dr Reynolds come to fruition. I know we are headed in the right direction.

Based on what I heard at the fundraiser, a local marketing firm, Simantel, donated the creative design work. Adams donated the actual banners, and there are more to come inside the arena based on what was discussed at the fundraiser. I think the money raised at the blitz during the auction paid for the printing and install.

Simantel and Adams are among the many local companies that have always been very gracious in their support for Bradley!
