Cavs Fined

$100,000 for comments made by owner Dan Gilbert regarding LeBron James.

That's probably fair, but I think the league should also investigate the payer collusion that took place between LBJ, Wade, and Bosh. I have NO doubt that that slick, greasy Pat Riley played a major role in the sliminess.

I don't like NBA basketball, dont really follow it, could careless where Lebron went...but if the Cavs ownership, management, etc....did not see this coming, they deserve everything they get! BTW, have not really seen anyone, anywhere mention that both Bosh and James were signed and traded for picks...don't think either the players or the Heat had to do that, so it is not like the Cavs and Raptors didn't get anything for those guys.

I think they did the sign and trade so the 3 amigos could get full salary. After they got the press to say at least they didn't go for the highest offer. They wanted to play together and win. Then they traded so they did all get the max offer. It was not a good will gesture to the former teams.

I agree with most everything Mr. Gilbert said, except that the Cavs will win before Miami. I hope he is right though. Looks like the Rev Jackson has some pull with the NBA. Finally found a team to root against more than I do the Bears and Cubs.

The NBA is so confusing, so I want to get this straight.

It is wrong for an owner to call out a player in writing, (yes I know it sounded, acted and looked stupid), but it is OK for 3 players to exchange information regarding where they all might want to play while they are all under contract to another team?

Just a really bad league the NBA as transformed into.
