Celtics host Da Bulls

The way things are going so far I think there may be some hope to see POB at least for some garbage time.

ser_solace, did you see Gray get the ball down low and when he was about to go up against POB, he suddenly lost control and Boston stole it? Wonder if he still has some repressed memories that are sufacing...:)

One point (0 for 1 from the field and 1 of 2 from the line), two boards, one block, two turnovers, and 1 foul in four minutes.

To me Patrick looked faster. Going up and down the court, his stride was more of a sprint rather than his old lope. On the downside, geez he got pushed around.

I watched on ESPN and the announcers said some nice things about him including comments from Doc that he (Doc) expected good things once Patrick learned their system.

And Bradley, by way of Anthony Parker, hung a loss on Golden State. Take that Nellie as AP put up 23 on 7 of 10 from the field including 3 of 5 from downtown. He added 6 of 6 from the line, 5 boards, 4 steals, only 1 foul and 0 turnovers. And oh yeah, Toronto won the game.

I don't think Gray was intimidated by POB. He's played a lot more in his NBA career so he's played against the best and not just garbage time. POB did look a lot more active tonight.

Most Celtics fans that I have talked to on a board think that Danny Ainge is looking at Patrick as a project. fwiw

This has been a really entertaining game so far, Celtics are up 58-53 at the half. The Rockets went on a 21-4quarter which was followed by an 11-1 run by the Celti run in the second cs to end the half. No sign of Patrick while I've been watching.

Very strange! When the Celtics played the Rockets in pre-season POB played Yao Ming pretty good. I'm not to sure what to make of this. If he is going to make it in the NBA his heart needs to be in it and if not for his sake he needs to find what he is passionate about and stick to that after this season.

I wouldn't place Doc Rivers in the same category as Don Nelson. This is either on Patrick or the Celtics may be playing at something for next year.

Best case is that maybe Celtics are wanting to play Glen Davis more to increase his value and trade him later. Then they keep Patrick because they see value in him long-term.

Or worst case is that this is entirely on Patrick for not doing enough in practice. I don't think Rivers has any problem with playing less experienced players. He's letting Rondo start at point and giving Glen Davis big minutes afterall.

I think it is up to Patrick to earn his chance; kind of the same thing I feel about our bigs( someone has to step up and prove that they are the man for the job) ; Salley may not have been the best basketball player but he was the toughest of the bunch last season and that is why he got to play.
