Change the White out...

I believe that every game should be a RED-out

Here here....I concur. I mentioned LAST year they should declare the entire season red out.

Colors have no more to do with the team's performance than standing up does. (Are you listening KW?) The crowd will react, as they always do, to great play by the Braves. They are the cause, we are the effect ... which is not to say they don't feed off the excitement they create.

True on the "causer and effect" but what about a stimulus. As others have pointed out. Play before a dead small crown and a jacked up energetic one. NO comparison.

I teach a spiining class...some nites I get 1 maybe 2 riders. The class is OK but on those nite I get 8-10 riders the entire class AND the instructor feeds off eachother.

I remember thinking the white-out was neat, and I like the idea of having some of them... It would have been best to avoid white for MSU though.

I am a huge fan of the white out............But, not against MSU. They always have white outs, so I would like them seeing red this game.

This game would be the PERFECT GAME for my master plan of having a white out for the first half, then everyone in the crowd switch to red for the second half. I understand this would be difficult and expensive, but would be awesome if we could pull it off. Just when MSU was comfortable with the white, they are hit with the red for the second half!

Have you played organized sports? You get so much more of an adrenaline rush playing in front of a huge home crowd than a small one or a hostile away crowd... You can overcome it, but to say it doesn't help or hurt or that it is only an effect of what the team does is just not true...

Yes I have. Not disagreeing with the huge advantage of raucous, supportive crowds like ours. Only the color issue. Red, white ... either one. Just so MSU discovers, the hard way, it's not easy being green.

I have to agree with TNel. I've seen many great Bradley victories over the years, before the white-outs and the red-outs. The crowd reaction helps out the home team more than the color the crowd is wearing. I'm not against the promotions, and I'm sure TNel isn't either, but they won't make a difference in the outcome of the game.

I don't think it will make a difference in the outcome either, but it might leave a lot of people wondering what Bradley was thinking when they see it on television. When there are two obvious choices between red and white, I'm left wondering why this game was chosen for a white-out.

Biggest possible National TV audience? (unfortunately most of which are also familiar with MSU's white-outs) The white-out is most impressive on TV as red just blends into the dark shadows due to how much brighter the court is lit.

Feeling "comfortable" is a big assist when competing. I can see MSU players all smiling walking out into an arena that makes em all feel like home. "look these mid-majors are welcoming us to Peoria with OUR hometown whiteout colors"...as they laugh amongst eachother.
