The CIT Tournament has 20 teams this year. Last year there were 26, and the years before that, there were 32. It is clearly declining-

Here are the 20 teams in the 2018 CIT-

There will be 4 first round games played tomorrow (Monday, March 12) including Abilene Christian at Drake at 1 PM Central.
The 4 first round games will be at 11 AM, 1 PM, 5 PM, and 9 PM Central. That will reduce the field by 4 teams. The remaining teams will then fit into a 16-team elimination bracket. All 4 games will be televised by CBSSports Network.
 
Here is the schedule for the CIT. They have no set bracket.
Teams and match-ups for each subsequent round will be determined after each round is complete-

The 2018 CIT begins on Monday, March 12 with four games on CBS Sports Network. The Hugh Durham Classic, Lou Henson Classic, Jim Phelan Classic and Riley Wallace Classic will be the first games of the postseason. At the conclusion of each game a trophy will be presented to the winning team, which will then advance to the second round of the tournament. The Coach John McLendon Classic will be played on Wednesday, March 14.

Winners will play Wofford (21-12), Northern Colorado (22-12), Portland State (20-13) and Sam Houston State (19-14). Dates and times TBD.

The first CIT game has ended- Central Michigan beat IPFW 94-89 -

Both teams shot very well, and took a combined total of 72 three point attempts.
Bryson Scott, the twin brother of Brenton Scott of Indiana State, had 28 points for IPFW.
Former Bradley Brave Xzavier Taylor, who averaged 7.5 ppg on the season, had a career high 20 points for IPFW in his final collegiate game.

Drake vs. Abilene Christian is just starting on CBSSports Network at 1 PM.

15 times they gave up 75 or more and 80 or more 10 times...
they were only 0.1 ppg away from the worst defense in the league...

The CIT semifinals are tonight (Wed. 3/28 ). Scottie James and his Liberty Flames play the UIC Flames (the only 2 college teams in America with the nickname Flames) at 6:00 PM Central, followed by the other semifinal with Sam Houston State at Northern Colorado at 8:00 PM Central.
