I think he should go after primarily jucos for the next 2 to 3 years sprinkled with safe high school recruits. I think right now there should be an article saying "too few jucos". I think we need some older more experienced players that are just plain bad a$$es and won't be intimidated by anyone on the court...cellus, theron wilson, zach andrews, TB, even matt sally types where we know what we're getting and we've got a bit of an edge and chip on our shoulder.

but here's the problem - we're NOW almost as deep into this next recruiting season as we were when Geno got here a year ago and of course guess what you get if you go out and sign someone this late...

You get exactly what we're seeing everyone gripe about - a bunch of recruits that people say aren't going to help...

My question for people who want to see some MORE scholarships open up for this fall and Geno land a few more recruits is...
JUST WHO are we going to get...anyone you have in mind or just hope for the best??
The vast majority of available recruits for 2012 are already committed - pickings are slim....so are we not likely to have the same problem next year that we have this year?

That's why it will probably take more than 1 or 2 years to turn this mess around.

Let me ask this! Does anyone else think that there could be a problem with a few players on the this team not playing for the team but only for themselves? IMO I think TB,WL,DSE all have a problem with playing as a unit for one cause...They all get out of control or seem to take bad shots early in the shot clock at times.. Is that a coaches fault yes or no??

This might be a problem and it might have come to a head the other night. I seen GF betting pretty upset w/ players not doing what he wanted. Did he get their attention? Only time will tell but I really thought DSE played harder in the 2nd half. Even TB whose D is suspect a lot of times picked it up some. JP was hustling for loose balls. The only one that didn't seem to get is was WL. Not sure what the reason for that is but if it continues then let him sit until he figures it out.

I noticed the same thing in that most of the players responded after having to sit out the start of the 2nd half, for whatever reason these guys play like individuals and not as a team , hope Crawford gets more minutes the rest of the season.

I've also seen it said more than once that every player on this roster should be "run off". :roll:

I wouldn't say that, but one could easily make that case after the Evansville game.

I guess it depends on how you define mess and how far you extend the definition.....I am worried that it may be several more years beyond that .....
and I am saddened to think I have already been pretty accurate with my predictions to this point...
