Headed to the Sweet Sixteen
To me, and a lot of the country, the appeal of March Madness is seeing relatively unknown teams beating the well known teams. Mid-majors usually made their mark by having players that played at their schools for 4 years and as a result of that experience, they were able to compete. Now good players leave these teams for more NIL money with no loyalty to a school or to a solid education. They are no longer college players. College basketball are the minor leagues for the NBA. Can't blame the player for trying to get money since very few can become pros. NIL and the transfer portal killed mid-majors. Look at the results this year, very few upsets. Friday, there were none. In 2006 the Missouri Valley had 4 teams in the NCAA. Bradley and Wichita State made it to the sweet 16 after criticism from Packer and Nance about them even being in the tournament. This year it the automatic bid teams, that really can't compete, High Point excluded, and the 35 teams from the Big Ten, SEC and ACC.Yes just watched that game! What a great ending as Vanderbilt had a game winning 3 go in and out! Tough to lose Rienk, but he did help us Beat Drake for a regular season crown in a few years back! I also just watched High Point go down! So now after first week, all underdogs are Gone! NIL ruining March Madness. I'm not anxious to watch the rest of the tournament.
Yes. I've watched many of their games, and Rienk could be a much more prolific scorer if he wanted to. But he is playing very unselfishly, and playing within their offense to create shots for their other shooters. He is a big part of their success. He also has the distinction of being the first player in college basketball history named Rienk.Very happy that Rienk has earned the opportunity to further his education while experiencing a great college basketball environment. Very talented team members that truly like and support each other, excellent coach and an amazing fan base.

I think his unselfish play was what endured him to most Bradley fans also.Yes. I've watched many of their games, and Rienk could be a much more prolific scorer if he wanted to. If he was always doing what was best for the team then he should have stayedI think his unselfish play was what endured him to most Bradley fans also.
Not the most talented player but is always willing to do what is best for the team.
Go Reink and "Big Red".
