I think it's only appropriate that we give some congrats to WI-P. Almost everyone is in meltdown mode but hardly any mention that WI-P played a good game on the road against what is suppose to be a good team. It appeared they WI-P had a good contingent of fans that made the trip and probably read this board. This is probably one of their biggest wins of the season even if it doesn't count. They did an outstanding job on the FT's, at one point going 21 for 21 I believe. Then was absolutely lights out on the threes in the final 10 minutes. They played an all around good game.

Try telling a Pioneer fan that their Victory Sunday "dosen't count"

They are a DIII school that came into a historically top 100 program's house and beat us.

UWP should be given some respect. I was thoroughly impressed with how the Pioneers played.

Also, give some respect to their fan base that made the 4 hour trip south for a Sunday night game that "didn't count".

Let them have their moment. This Friday if we don't make some changes we will end with the same result as Sunday and we don't get a Mulligan for that one.

I've got a good feeling about DC.

That CBI tournament was worth it if for nothing more than what it did for this guys confidence.

With the officiating crew we had last night I was surprised he didn't get a T'd up for hanging on the rim that one time. There weren't any bodies undertneath him.

Also, I like what I am seeing with SS. Our guard play will come around, good to see aggresive confident play from the Bigs which in recent years has not been as strong.

Yeah there was his legs went over a guys shoulders...I was right there I...although I'm not sure what angle you were looking from..I'm just saying his legs were about to kick someone....

Agreed. UW-P played a good game in every phase. There were a couple of fans a few rows behind me that did a good job cheering their team on.

Congrats to WI-Platteville! They were a very well coached team and fundamentally sound team. They were focused and had great intensity the whole game. Congrats again to them.

I too was impressed with UWP. I thought they would wear out in the second half and then thought they might cave under pressure the last few minutes when BU got within 5 but they hung tough and played with a lot of poise and finished the game the way a team is suppose to.

Also congrats to UW Platteville...and to add to what has already been posted, they hit their freethrows. I only saw one missed freethrow.

Yeah, no kidding. Well done at the FT line. We were all kind of looking askance at UWP's pregame drill (they were shooting FTs basically), but I guess we learned our lesson there since they were like 342-343 from the charity stripe. :)

Hmmmm......maybe we should have a new pre-game warmup drill?

If it helps, I'm down for it. Heck, let's play free throw knockout and the last five in are the games starter's. ;)

Obviously I'm joking but I think seriously going back to the fundamentals could be what this team needs right now. It would probably be frustrating for the players AND coaches, but maybe thats what should be done. UWP didn't do ANYTHING spectacular or fancy. They took advantage of our weaknesses and were excellent at fundamentals. To be honest I was very impressed by that, and that's the kind of basketball I love to watch, just when it's my team that's doing it...
