Congrats to the Braves and Brave fans. You guys were the better team tonight. Very solid win. Rivalry games go either way but I fully expected to leave Carver 15-0. Didn't happen. That place is a house of horrors for ISU.

Congrats.

See you for the rematch at RA on the 31st.

Thanks. I'll be there on the 31st, just look for the funny looking guy decked out in lots of Bradley gear and screaming loudly for the entire game :)

Thanks DC, the birds are a good team. Eldridge is some kind of player and those long 3's were nothing but great! I have one ? for you;-)
WHO WAS THAT MASKMAN:doubt::biggrin: Thanks again:biggrin::biggrin:

Eldridge did hit some 3s early. I can't wait until he goes to the NBA. What a player!

Quickest release on the Carver floor since Shea Seals of Tulsa. Roberts did a good job of stopping his penetration.

He's a good college player, but I really don't see where he fits in at the next level. It's going to be tough for him,.

There's probably not a player in college with a better shot save Curry. He will make a team that needs a hot hand that can shoot deep. Steve Kerr like skills I'd say. He'll play in the NBA for someone like the Warriors.

He's a better athlete and has more range than Troy Hudson & he's had a very nice NBA career - I think OE will catch on with someone and the length of his career will depend on who.

Thanks DCooksey for coming on and tipping your hat. I think ISU has a couple more good fans and posters on this board who will follow your lead. Good luck to your boys most of the way. ;)

Agreed completely. Roberts played him tight, and didn't give up the drive or the easy shot. O just nailed them with a hand in his face. I still maintain I'm not a fan of his ego or his attitude, but the kids a ballplayer, flat out.

Thanks DC! Looking at the upcoming schedule, I think ISU is certainly capable of winning the next 6 games at the very least. I don't think they will lose too many more games this year, so it should be a dogfight for first place. Despite the loss tonight, you guys have a chance to prove that your non-conference record was no fluke.

It should be a great race between our teams the rest of the way! :D

Thanks DannyCooksey.

Also, I think OE'd be a good pro. He's got good athletic skills, D, plays hard, and can really shoot. We turned him into a perimeter player tonight, and that's a big part of why we won, but he's a monster.

He also doesn't have the usual mid-major player problem. He's not a tweener. He's a 2-guard with reasonable 2-guard size.

I too want to say good game to you folks... it was by far the most frustrating game I have ever watched... couldn't get anything to fall- forced too many shots- tried to penetrate and couldn't effectively... I want to pull my hair out just thinking about it now...

Having Oguchi the whole game may have changed the outcome... but you could say the same thing about Warren and Egolf, and I could add Bobby Hill in there as well... yadda yadda yadda...

Officiating seemed pretty horrible both ways- I am getting sick of pretty boy/surfer boy- John Higgins, and twinkle toes Mike Sanzere... Higgins does just enough to make sure you remember who officiated the game... surprised he didn't T up Less early in the 1st half or Jank late in the 2nd half... they were both going at him pretty good... and for good reason

The ball that bounced off O's foot with no BU player around him- entering a officials timeout... that went to ISU???? They clearly must have just forgotten who to give the ball to... several foul calls that should have been called on both teams... Rubin got laid out on a 3 attempt late in the game...

Not blaming the refs- hence me saying they were bad both ways... its just frustrating when they are not consistant at all!

Anyways- good luck the rest of the way... well... not really since we are technically chashing you in the MVC race now... but i think you know what i mean... stay healthy is a nice way to put it... see ya in RA.

I appreciate the classy way that ISU fans have come on this board and congratulated BU on the victory last night. It's a spirited rivalry, but one that is handled with dignity and respect for each other's programs.

Well done ISU fans! Look forward to the rematch on Jan 31st...

Redbird...and Danny...thanks for showing a little bit of class (more than I can say for the majority of your redbirdfan.com brethren).

ISU has a good team. I have a tough time believing you guys won't return the favor to us in a few weeks. But I'm looking forward to round 2.

"Stay Healthy" to you as well.

Edit: I type too slow

2 very classy guys to come on and congratulate us. You guys played on great game also and yes you do have the best player in the league in OE. I really, for one, enjoy watching him and would love to have him on our team.
The rematch will be just as physical unless we get refs that want to control everything. I would rather have a game called like it was tonight even w/ some missed and bad calls then one where the whistle gets blowed every 20 seconds like some games are. I really think everyone who was at that game got their money's worth-even if you were an ISU fan and would have wanted different final results.
Again 1 and possibly 2 more game to go against each other. Wouldn't these 2 teams make for a great championship game in SL in March.
