MVC Regular Season and Tournament Champs!

What a great season for the Bulldogs (and we can hang out hat that we almost beat them twice and did once!).

Classy school and fans deserve some recoginition from the Bradley faithful.

Way to go Drake!

I agree. Eventhough it's not necessarily the best case for the MVC, how can you not pull for Coach Davis, Emmenecker, and the rest of the Bulldogs. They are classy and play awfully hard.

Congrats Drake!

Congrats Drake!

Depending on their draw, I'd say they have a very good chance to at least reach the Sweet 16.

I hope they match up against a team that is prone to turnovers. Go Drake and make the Valley PROUD!

Drake has out-Butlered not only Butler but much of the nation. They play smart, they play good team ball,
and they play well, and beat you even if you play a good game against them.

I really have to admit I got pretty sick of Dick Enberg spending the better part of TWO HOURS hammering time, and time,
and time again how improbable, unlikely, and unexpected this all was, and all the myriad of little twists like getting picked 9th in preseason,
new head coach, only two winning seasons in a decade, last NCAA 30 odd years ago...etc.

Had he just spent a little time actually talking about the game I might have actually enjoyed the broadcast a bit.
Instead the game had to compensate for the terrible job of broadcasting.

Congratulations Drake, and I hope when your NCAA game is televised, that you can get a fair shake with the broadcasters
who might treat your season as more than an oddity and a one-in-a-million event.

Agreed on the broadcasting. Enberg also confused Emmenecker and Heemskerk several times.

At least they only had a couple references to the "famed Korver family of Pella, Iowa" and what a great player Mrs. Korver was and how she taught Klayton how to shoot. After Mitch Holthaus spending all of Saturday's game paying homage to the Korvers, I couldn't take much more.

Just got back from St. Louis. They played a great game today. They execute their style and plan so well that they will be hard to beat for anyone. Go get em in the tourney, Drake!

Drake was very impressive today in beating ISU; if they continue to play like this they will be tough to beat as they scored both inside and outside and their zone defense kept ISU from getting very few easy baskets, their players knew which ISU players to cover out side and got their hands on a lot of inside passes, they deserved to win and hopefully will continue on winning in the NCAA ; I think they deserve to get at least a 5 or 6 seed.

I think a 4 seed is too high. maybe a 5 seed, but I actually think a 6 seed is more likely, seeing as how the committee has treated midmajors who have tried to crash the BCS-schools party in the past.

Unless I missed it, what I didn't hear from Enberg/CBS was any mention of Keno as possible/probable national coach of the year. I really hope he gets that honor, and wish he would have gotten the publicity today.

And I agree. Prepare to be disappointed on Selection Sunday regarding Drake's seeding. And that's too bad.

Over the years all the road games I've seen, the Drake fans were always the best the way they treated the opposing fans. GO BULLDOGS.

Great school. Great team ... basketball like it was suppose to be played. An inspiration to any other school who has struggled for the last several years.
