Connor Hickman enters portal

How about a backcourt of Bully, Burch and Hickman? That's a winner.

Not seeing this happening, though I'd LOVE it! And maybe he'd consider after Zek returned (and was welcomed back) after transferring. I'd rather have CD return b/c he's likely built a stronger bond with the returning players and he's a super defender and leader.

How about getting both? ! Kidding...I agree with your post.

Interesting he is entering into the portal. He turned his back on BU for whatever reason. Would he fit back in at Bradley. Also considering his recent injury problems would make me hesitant to bringing him back if he chose to do so. Look at what happened when we needed Zeke the most at post season play in the NIT. Not saying Connor will follow suit in similar circumstances, but you have to wonder. If staff welcomes him back it is their call of course. As for me I would have to think long and hard about it. My two cents. Any one else have thoughts on the matter.

I would have no concerns. If Connor wanted to finish his college career at Bradley, I would welcome him back. Recall that he was Bradley's leading scorer in 2023-24, and shot over 40% from three.
He is the kind of player next year's team needs, a veteran shooting guard with leadership qualities and a work ethic that will set a terrific example for the freshmen and newcomers.

I think he wants to go to Indiana, not sure if they will take him.

He’d have a lot more fun being the senior leader of BU than being a sub on a Big 10 team. If we got Hick and CD back, we’d be favorites to win the conference.

Just throwing this out there, but if he returns what would happen concerning Burch. I am assuming he thinks he would be more of a bigger role next year. If Hickman returns would Burch consider going into the portal as he now may not be a potential starter or logging a good share of minutes. Hope Burch does not leave, but you just never know.

As of now, there appears to be plenty of minutes to go around for next year, and a team can never have too many good 3-point shooters. Plus, Hickman brings a great deal more to a team than just his shooting.
I loved what Zek contributed, but IMO, Bradley could have been a better team in 2024-25 if they had Connor instead.

Bradley has been in contact, and a return to Bradley is a possibility. He would be welcomed back if he wants to return.
As of now, Conner isn't sure what he is going to do.

He has to decide if he wants to sit on the bench somewhere or comeback to a team where he would be a major contributor on a team that is in contention for a conference championship

I hate to say this. But even if Hickman comes back, at this point I think ILSU is going to be the preseason favorite. Of course, other portal additions could change that.

He’s not guaranteed to get another year of eligibility so it may be an irrelevant discussion. Would absolutely welcome him back if he does get that waiver.

Can his ankles handle it? Assuming he’s even granted the additional year, can he make it through the year without an injury?

Connor's problem this year was a fracture in his foot. There's nothing wrong with his ankles. He was starting and playing great before the injury.
