Crouch's 3 pointer record

I am thinking that JC's new three point field goal record of 118 this year will never be broken. His career 3 pt numbers will never be touched either. JC was the right guy in the right place at the right time. The line moves back 12 inches next year and I imagine percentages will go down and so will attempts not only for Bradley but for the NCAA as a whole. Kudos JC.
Even with out the line moving back I think Bradley would have relied less on the 3 less next year. For sure with the line moving back.
Curious how the game changes next year with a 20'6" three point line.

I hope Bradley already has our shooters playing on floors with the new line.

Just an afterthought... wonder how crowded it's gonna feel in the corner for Drew. He seems to like the corners for 3's. I think this new line will leave 53 inches from 3-line to out of bounds. That doesn't seem like a lot to me.

i'm gonna disagree with you for the sake of disagreeing with you so don't take it personally. Crouch's freshman year he made 46 threes. His sophomore year he made 15 threes! Sam Maniscalco made 55 threes this year, his freshman year.

Now I certainly do not think Sammy will pass Crouch up because he is not a spot-up shooter type, but I'm just saying that Crouch's numbers early on were not outstanding. All it would take is a good shooting-guard recruit and his career numbers will be passed up.

Having said this, I think Crouch's season total of 118 threes this year alone will be around for awhile.

Agreed on all counts.

Agreed. I could see a future player passing up JC's career totals as long as consistency and a good freshman year happens. 118 in one season? probably not though.

I thought the line was moved back 9 inches? I know that is only another 3 inches to work with but hey 3 inches is 3 inches. It certainly didn't feel any longer shooting in haussler. I mean when we'd play, I'd shoot a 3 and look to see where my feet where anyways and they were usually at least a couple inches behind the line. I personally don't think it'll make much of a difference next season, but hey we'll see how things turn out next year.

I don't know, I think the line moving back will have an impact. I would be real suprised if next year Bradley puts up anything close to the 340 some threes they put up each of the last two years.
Who knows maybe some pure shooter like Matt Roth or Stephen Curry could beat JC's career numbers. JC is probably just as good a shooter as those two, I mean he lead D1 last year in 3 pt percentage, but JC was maybe a little too unselfish to put the records totally out of reach.
It sure will be fun to watch if you guys are right and someone makes a run at JC's records.

3" will make a difference towards the end of the game! What they should have done was widen the lane. That would have made a huge difference!
