This game is just as big tomorrow for both teams involved...

A win for Bradley separates BU from Creighton, Drake, and Evansville by 2 games and also from already beaten ISU by a game (unless they lose) and sets up another 1st place matchup in Cedar Falls on Wednesday night...

A loss and as we know we fall back toward the pack a little more...

On the other hand, a win for SIU and they edge a game closer to evening things out and getting towards the middle of the pack...

A loss and they distance themselves by a full two games into the bottom 4 and the play-in scenario.

Yes its a long season, however, at this point we are getting closer to the halfway point, and teams are starting to group themselves in areas...

Right now the top 3 are Bradley, UNI, and ISU

Mid 3 are Creighton, Drake, and Evansville

Bottom 4 and the play in are SIU, InSU, Missouri State, and Wichita State

Things are taking shape a bit more and it'll be interesting to see in the next couple weeks where teams are after the halfway point...

If we can buckle down and have a big week we then come back home w/ 6 home games remaining and only 4 road games in at least 2 of 4 winnable road locations...we absolutely MUST win the rest of our home games though...

Lets continue to overachieve:!:

For some reason I think realtime is down today....nothing has changede since 7 this morning!

Realtimerpi isn't down. I thought the same thing. They changed their website so that you need to sign up and pay $19.99 a year in order to get updated stats, otherwise you're gonna get stuck with delayed stats now. Kinda crummy.

Sweet.

As a subscriber to Palm's site... I like seeing this.

Another thing... other RPI site's don't go out of their way to make sure they calculate the RPI correctly. Palm's does. Palm might be a B10 and Purdue Wonk but his site is based on perfection.

He knows the formula. He calculates the formula. He seeks out to make sure games are calculated correctly.

The only formula I care about at this point is figuring out how we get our way out of the 4/5 matchup because at this point it looks as though we're headed back in that direction.

...and we're back to being "negative" after one loss again.

Not just you, SLB... but I dreaded coming on here (and didn't last night) because I knew this would happen.

Yeah, let's not hit the panic button yet. SIU is always a tough place to win. The fact that they are having a down year is irrelevant. Is it a win I really wish we could have gotten? Yes... the bottom line is we didn't play very well. But I think we will hopefully get something to learn from out of this experience, and we will be ready to play @ UNI.

I was standing at the Peoria Buffalo Wild Wings with family and someone came up to us and said he couldn't wait to get home and check the board just to see what everyone was b!^(#ing about this time. At least we know what to expect after the games. I don't believe we should be in "meltdown" mode after last night's game, but we need to come out really strong and with a lot of emotion against UNI in order to get back to 1st and have the advantage over them. And let's make some free throws!

I think I can speak for most people when I say that most of us are not in "meltdown mode" because of one loss at Carbondale. We all knew it'd be tough. I think most are getting more nervous about how this season is going because when conference play started we thought most of the problems we had in the non conference schedule had been fixed and we were playing like a team that wanted to win. We were making free throws, we were playing pretty good defense, we were making a respectable amount of 3s, our offense was working. The "meltdown" isn't due to this one lose; it's because there are signs that we are slowly lapsing back into the other team ever since we played Creighton, and if things continue this way you can bet we aren't going to win many more games this season. Everyone always acts like this board is so rash and can switch over at any moment, but that's just not the case. We cautiously got optimistic for this season while we were doing good...not after one game, and now we are just cautious about the season and it's because of the past 3 games...not just one. Stop acting like everyone just likes to jump on and off after one game when that isn't the case...people's opinions are justified after the trend that has been happening in the last 3 games. It's bad enough to watch the team play so crappy, and then get on the board and express your opinions and get called out on it like you have no reason to be upset because of this one game. Well NEWSFLASH, we've been playing bad since Creighton.

Bradleyguy10, show me where anyone with a negative opinon has been "called out". The only person attacked since last night's game has been me. I have been accused of posting "kool aid drinking posts" and not knowing what I am talking about, and not being "objective, and "putting a positive spin" on things. I have also been accused of not watching the game, when I believe I was the one of the few here who were actualy at the game.
