Daniel Ruffin nominated for 2008 Bob Cousy award

No knock against his talent, but putting Derrick Rose on that list is a slap in the face to the kids who have already proven at the collegiate level that they can play.
The kid hasn't even played a minute of college ball yet, and he's already nominated for the one of the top awards in college basketball.
Later in the season, they announce the "Finalists" and if deserved, then they should put Rose's name on at that time, but not now.

The Cousy Award web page now shows Daniel Ruffin and the
"Top Candidates to Watch"

There are 40 candidates nominated, and here they are:

The Cousy Award Website shows photos of 36 of the candidates that they call
"Top Candidates to Watch"
(the four they don't show from the list of nominees are Eric Devendorf, Kyle McAlarney, Ramar Smith, Ronald Steele--
three of these guys are either not playing this season or have had recent drug-related arrests)

FANS CAN VOTE starting Feb 8, 2008, so let's all check back and vote early and often!! But the final winner is a result of committee selection.

Is there any way to find out where Ruffin ended-up for the years he was nominated but did not win the award? Or is the winner only released?

For example, last year did the committee decide that he was the 20th best pt. guard?

Do they still have that award for the best player under 6 feet tall? I'd think Ruff would have a good shot at that.

I don't believe they had fan voting or online voting last year, and in the midway point of the season, the committee
narrowed the field to just 17 (and they'll do that again this coming season except they already said the field will be
narrowed in February to 15)

Here is a description of the selection process

......but I have never seen anything
to suggest they ever tell who was 2nd, 3rd, etc....so I think they only release the name of the winner of the award.
I don't even think they release the names of the 15 candidates in the narrowed down field.
