Class of 2008 recruit Daniel West and the Saginaw High School Trojans had a rematch against Saginaw Arthur Hill High School tonight. Arthur Hill won the first game between the two teams that are currently ranked #1 and 2 in the state in the top class--

This time Saginaw beat Arthur Hill 79-73 and will likely regain the #1 spot in the rankings next week--

Great news- Daniel West was the star and leading scorer in this big game between Saginaw and Arthur Hill. He had 19 points, and out scored DePaul bound Dar Tucker of Arthur Hill (10 pts), and other Div I caliber seniors on Saginaw including Josh Southern (12 pts.) and Bobby Lewis (13 pts.), and junior Draymond Green's (13 pts).

Bradley recruit Daniel West's (Class of 2008) Saginaw High School is presently ranked #1 in all of Michigan,
but they had to travel for a very difficult game Tuesday night against Class A #5 ranked Pontiac Northern.

Saginaw came away a winner as Daniel sank two crucial free throws late in the game to seal the win.
West finished with 12 points, 4 assists.

Tonight (Thursday), Saginaw plays the #1 ranked team in Class B, Southwestern Academy
for what some are saying in the unofficial Championship game.

Daniel West's team, Saginaw High rated #1 in Class A (the largest schools), played the #1 team in Class B Thursday night Southwestern Academy. Saginaw won 74-66.

Southern has already committed to Boston College (I think).....
 
Daniel West's junior teammate Draymond Green has committed to the University of Kentucky. He was rated by some as the top junior in Michigan, and the Bradley coaches have had recruiting contact with him. But it was clear he was headed for a high major school--

Green, who attended UK's game against Florida on Feb. 10, averages 22 points, 14 rebounds and five blocked shots a game. Saginaw is 16-1 and ranked No. 1 in the state.

UK had some connections with Green, No. 71 among juniors in the HoopScoopOnline.com rankings. Dawkins played for Smith at Tulsa, and one of Green's Saginaw teammates -- Josh Southern -- was recruited by UK before signing in the fall with Boston College.

Green was also hearing from Indiana University, Clemson, Xavier, Western Michigan, Central Michigan and Bradley.
 
That's two of Daniel West's teammates (both seniors) who are going big time to BCS schools, Boston College and Kentucky.

Nice to see Bradley listed time and time again battling for these top recruits with Kentucky, Indiana, etc..
 
Daniel West's team, Saginaw High School is in the toughest district, and their District Final is tonight
vs. Saginaw Arthur Hill with Dar Tucker.
These are THE two top rated teams in the state with Saginaw #1 and Arthur Hill #2.

Last year, Arthur Hill won this District (same as Sectional in Illinois) and went on to to win the State Title.
Many people expect the winner of tonight's game to do the same.
