Danny Adams and Comcast Broadcast

I just thought it'd be cool if the Comcast broadcasts did some stories during half-time like ESPN-type video productions. Maybe have Danny Adams profile one player a game, doing an in-depth interview with him inter-cut with videos of the player doing whatever at school. Or maybe a brief BU basketball history lesson, profiling a special moment in BU history with highlight clips.

Thats kind of what they do on the Valley game of the week......a player profile which is always interesting, especially what they are doing now! :o

I like the job Comcast has done with a bare-bones budget. We are fortunate to have so many games telecast locally. I have heard that the ratings have been very good, and that there will be good news coming about more coverage in the future.

I'm normally pretty critical of BU's production value across the board, but I absolutely love Dick Versace's commentary.

The shot clock was winding down during the ISU game and while he was in the middle of a sentence he just stopped and yelled "SHOOT IT!"

I guess the coach in him came out for a second.

Then, laughing, he tried to play it off by saying, "some guy behind me just yelled 'shoot it.'"

That was the Chris Roberts 3' bomb from standing in front of the isu bench....inches from being out of bounds with 3 secs on the shot clock...DV howlers..."shot it" while on mic doing the game.....the shot hits nothing but net and DV says to Frank Bussone..."did you hear that guy behind me howler, shot it?" That is one of the all time classics in my book!

Another one was the out of bounds play the game before and the officals wanted to see the replay to see if the 0.4 clock time was correct and the feed from comcast was the only way to get it....during the viewing DV says to the officials..."you know you can't mget a shot off in 0.4 secs "....to the refs while their watching it! Classic!

Yeah, I enjoy what we have. I just think we can be a little more creative to improve it. Maybe some student-produced videos about BU basketball during half-time?

I love the Comcast broadcasts. Frank Bussone and Dick Versace are great...very entertaining and knowledgeable. It's cool to have DA on the sidelines too.

Thanks guys!!

"I did not see them put the trampoline in the building."

I just love Versace and have NO problem with "homer" announcers. That was classic when he was "politicking" with the ref. :) I wonder how long it takes Coach V to be ejected from a game by an official  Has that ever happened before?

Mike Rice, a broadcaster for the Portland Trailblazers, is the only NBA announcer to ever be ejected from a game-

Here is a report about a minor league baseball announcer who was ejected by the ump-
