Darius injury

Coach Wardle said they plan on getting him looked at today (Sunday) in Peoria and hopefully will have an announcement Monday. Just hoping for the best for Darius.

Had Darius ever missed a game due to injury?

I gotta say we have been blessed more or less in the Wardle era to not have a ton of key injuries.

JaShon’s concussions were the one that sticks out as a major one in the past 5 seasons.

Eddie Papis is the unsung hero of Bradley basketball. Guy has quietly made us one of the most durable programs in the nation.

The only bad news is that the video replay of Darius Hannah's injury appeared to show a rather severe strain of his right knee lateral ligament as his knee flexed inward. That is usually an injury that doesn't require surgery, but it does usually require rest and a knee support to allow that ligament to heal.
I don't expect Darius to play in the next game.

I posted that yesterday in the game thread. It was apparent that his right lateral knee ligament was severely strained, and possibly torn with the inward flex of the right knee. At a minimum, that takes several weeks to heal properly. And if there is a tear or a fracture, even longer. I am not able to read the article, since it is subscription only. But the responses suggest there was not a tear or fracture.
I believe he'll recover 100%, and be able to pursue a pro career if that's what he wants.

That is great news!

Wow, wondering from his remarks on Darius getting injured if he will get a lot of backlash and people wanting him removed from going pre-game shows next year.:-o

Shoot - was hoping for a miracle to see DH one more time, but very glad that his career beyond BU will not end!

Thanks Darius for being a great representative for Bradley, the numerous dunk highlights, your tremendous work ethic, and strides you made to make yourself better every season and dedication to the team and winning culture.
