I was saying and thinking this the entire game...
Taylor Brown would certainly be an undersized 5, but he makes things happen and maybe coulda helped us a bit with the post defense.

He does make things happen...I agree with you there. I guess I was thinking once someone plays more they get scouted and teams adjust when that guys plays...but when SS and DC both are not playing well then depending on matchups it sure wouldn't hurt

Wait till next year when we have two sub 240 guys in there getting post up by everyone. You will appricate DC and SS.

I appreciate everything SS has done for us...especially this year... I am sure that DC is a fine person... But right now, if I had to choose players for a pick-up game, I would pick Jordan Prosser over DC anytime:!:

Taylor Brown is a freshman and not a natural 5 ... our weak link. He's undersized and green. BUT ... he WANTS TO PLAY. He can jump. He can rebound. He can shoot. He hustles. He has a nose for the ball. He is a huge part of this program's FUTURE. Play him at the 5! We're undersized at the guard positions and that hasn't hurt us. Six rebounds yesterday from our two 5s! TB would get that in a half. Defensive deficiencies? Of course. But, I think the other facets of his game would balance that out. We're about 2/3 of the way through the Conference schedule and probably not going to win the Conference. Let's give him some meaningful minutes at the 5 and point toward the MVC tournament.

There are games which I feel right noe that within the first 10 minutes we know if Dc and SS are showing up or not. IF not let's not waste our time and let's put in a guy that has the cojones to play.

I think we are getting every ounce of basketball that we can from DC. He struggles with the speed of the game and the instincts to do the right thing. But he's all we got.

Hey all...Seen a lot on this thread. Am I the only one who thinks this says more about AT not being ready than anything else.

We need more out of a 3 star recruit.

We knew what DC was before this year.

He is totally frustrating, but he is what I thought he was...

a disappointing game from our two 5s, no doubt. both missed crucial layups, and both missed way, way too many backdoor-cuts. I would have liked to see more TB also, as his length and quickness could have helped on those backdoor cuts. ISU wasn't really backing us down, they were just penetrating, waiting for the 5 to collapse in, then dishing to the open man.

and as for 2 less-than-240 guys, WE is listed at 233, and i think most of us agree he was our best option this year... so im not buying into that too much. I think our problems will be when we're a little thin on the reserves, but i'm hopeful that Proesser or Milos can play a few minutes each and that AT's development will continue to a point he can contribute.

DC and SS are not all-conf centers, they're serviceable centers who are going to make mistakes. it's just unfortunate when they both have a bad game on the same night.
