If anyone who knows the answer to this question, please post a simple yes/no. No speculation or twisted logic messages need to be posted. I expect that there are a great number of fans who are following these events and would like to know the straight answer.

From what I have gathered.... The Board did not need to vote for this firing. She has the right to fire w/o Board approval.

The quote that comes to mind the past 3 weeks is a different version from the Godfather:

"It's not business....... IT'S Personal!!" :confused::confused:

According to Cross during an interview with Greg and Dan, Yes. The board approved his firing decision.

Thank you for a straight up answer. Surely, there are posters who know Board Members that can confirm ... or perhaps Board membes post here and can confirm. Certainly, knowing which way the Board voted, or if it voted at all, need not be a secret.

See, thats complete speculation.

Here is a little of my own - I find it very hard to believe that the BoT wouldn't be consulted on spending (rumored) potentially a million dollars to buy the guys contract out. Especially with the chance of further litigation costs.

That just isn't the way things work.

I wouldn't suspect that the buyout $ came from the university.

I like Air Petey...

I don't agree with Air Petey on JL's employment.

I do agree, from what I have heard, that Petey was right, and the BOT was not consulted.

NOTE: I don't really think they should be...too many chances for leaks...

The BOT should be able to terminate the President if they feel a big error was made

how many buyouts does it take to bankrupt a small private University? :roll:

Hopefully enough to get a consistent winner in here...

Really, the university is never going to shutdown so I wouldn't be too worried about that if I were you...well, unless your the one floating the costs for his U-haul :lol:
