Direct TV question

Can anyone verify where on Direct TV this game will be shown? The menu shows that Comcast Plus will be showing the New York Knicks at New Orleans Hornets game tomorrow night at that time! I'm hoping that is a missprint, and will be corrected by tomorrow morning.

Actually, the Michel Student Center (at Bradley University) is showing the game. (see this thread for more info). It's not exactly kid-friendly, but at least they aren't serving alcohol there. In addition, there is free pizza and refreshments (I'm assuming soda, most likely Pepsi products) at the viewing. I'm sure that if your kids are mature enough to not complain (e.g. say "When are we going home, dad?" so everyone else can hear them) and are Bradley fans, the staff and the college students will welcome you in! :)
 
I ordered the sportspack the other day, and it was actually on ch 667. I assume it will be on directv this evening. (FoxCollegeSports)
 
Fox College Sports is a cable-only group of channels (because cable providers do not want to offer an all of the dozens of Regional Sports Nets like DirecTv's sports pack)
The last game was listed on 667 and 669, this AM I, too, could not find the game on any channel (Every other CBI game appeared in the guide by morning of gameday). I did notice that channel 617 appeared in the guide with no programming at all (Somehow a wikipedia CBI entry mentioned that DirecTv would likely carry all the CBI on channel 617, which up until yesterday did not exist as an available channel...)
 
OH-Oh. You are right about the program guide showing the Hornets at the Knicks ond cst+ 669, and 667FSWS, having a YUK baseball game.
I called direct TV, talked to a sports clueless female service rep.
She could not find The Bradley @ Tulsa game anywhere on there system.
I wonder if the BWW's have it,? if it is not on Direct TV.? I thought they had both cable and Direct TV.? Anybody know
To late to drive to Tulsa. anybody have a Jet and tix?
I cannot believe they would carry every game and not the championship game.:mad::mad::mad: OUCH!
 
This could be very, very bad. Getting to watch the entire tournament on 669 has been very nice. We HAVE to hope they will put this game on. Any way to contact the Gazelle Group?

And spoke with a very nice lady named Eileen who assured me that despite the listing on DTV 669 the CBI game will be on and not the NBA game-I will sit in front of the TV and wait for this! I told her they were doing a great job with the tourney!

Thought I might have to join Tornado at BWW EP. and I am sure he does not want any "misanthropes" there.
But then, if I were a "misathrope" defined as a "hater of all mankind" the last place I would want to be would be BWW. To much mankind.

Same thing happened to my friend before game 1 when he tried to order the package with channel 669 from Direct Tv. Not only could the Direct TV lady say she couldn't find the Tulsa/BU game, she claimed she couldn't find any listing that channel 669 existed! My friend responded with "Well, isn't it odd that my Direct Tv guide when tuned to channel 669 says CBI basketball Championship Tulsa vs Bradley." She then responded with, I will sign you up for ESPN Full Court package, which he said no to, and that that wouldn't have done any good anyway, then she said well maybe your confusing Direct Tv with Cox cable systems. He was flabbergasted as he was trying to purchase the package from them, yet they were saying it didn't exist. Unreal.

I think as typical with a lot of these companies, they hire "kids" right out of or still in high school to answer phones. And many have no clue what they are talking about. A little training, or better yet a more clear schedule and channel list would make their jobs a lot easier.
 
Over at dbstalk (message board about sat TV) you, hear about a "CSR roulette" game. some people keep calling DirecTv until they get a CSR with a more correct answer or better deal. DirecTv has finally caught on to the "better deal" issue and is standardizing that part of their system...
