Stony Brook's star player this year under head coach Geno Ford is Erik Pratt (19.4 ppg, 5 rpg, 4 apg)
In a game last night at Monmouth, he spit on a Monmouth fan and was ejected from the game.
Geno did not suspend the guy but..........
Today, the CAA conference suspended him for Saturday's game at Hofstra.

Stony Brook is currently tied for 5th place in the CAA (Colonial Athletic Assoc.) at 9-7 (17-12 overall)
They have two games left and could finish as high as 3rd or as low as 9th in a tightly packed race in the CAA

Fans are there to watch the game. They are not part of the game. That student needs to keep his mouth shut. The player needs to have more self control but at the same time fans need to show some class

there are cases where the fans spit at the players... just happened a couple days ago

society in general has become far more degenerate in the past few decades.

I was officiating a game many years ago at Delavan HS. A young man was taking the ball out across the floor from one of the benches and decided to just dribble it onto the court. I have to admit he was about to dribb;e for the second time when I blew my whistle. As I was heading over to the scorers table my officiating partner who I had worked with for over 20 years came over and said "what do you have." I promptly said "I don't know what its called but he sure in the hell can't do it." .

This link bringing up alot of memories for me. I never had a fan or player spit at one another but I did have a fan removed from a game in Tremont. A young man was taking the ball out in front of the visitors section when I noticed the guy reach out and pull a hair leg or two from the kid throwing the ball in. I officiated for 23 years and probably didn't have to remove 5 fans from a game in 23 years but that young man did not get to see the end of the game.
