Taylor Brown just got his 4th double-double of the season Saturday...

but I have a trivia question or two....

NOT one single BU player has accomplished 10 double-doubles in his career at BU since
Anthony Parker did it (he ended up with 12 total)...

Here are the two questions...

1) who has the most double doubles in his career at BU...and since people just don't have as many rebounds to get as they once did when shooting percentages used be in the 30's I suspect this record will remain unbreakable.

2) who is the only player in Bradley history to accomplish a double double in rebounds and assists?
(as a side question - one BU player has a triple double with points, rebounds, and assists...name him also)

Answers - mouse over to read:
1) Chet "The Jet" Walker had 54 double doubles. Joe Allen had 40 and Mitchell Anderson had 36 but nobody else had more than 30.
And nobody else since Hersey Hawkins (1988 ) and Anthony Manuel (1989) (and AP) has accomplished more than even eight in a career.
So Taylor Brown already has half as many double doubles as any BU player since the 1990's

2) Tom Les had a single double double in both rebounds and assists,
Cal Criddle had 12 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists on 2/28/70.

I dont think the record is untouchable... for example, Harongody from ND just got his 60th double double of his career tonight... but it definitley is improbable. Would be pretty awesome if brown can get ten this year.

Hersey Hawkins and Donald Reese both own NCAA records that are likely never to be broken..

Hersey Hawkins fouled out of a game at Wichita when the typical MVC refs were calling everything in the world charging...
Hersey ended up with FIVE charging fouls that night, and I guarantee under the current rules, nobody will ever break that one...and I am not even sure if it's ever been equalled..

Donald Reese played 73 of the 75 total minutes of the 7 overtime game BU played against Cincy. Since there's never even been ONE other game go 7 overtimes, then it means no other game ever has even had more than 70 minutes available to play, and even if another 7 OT game occurs..it's not very likely anyone would exceed 73 minutes played.

Taylor Brown now has 6 double-doubles this season, and that is the most in any season by any player since 2002...
so here's hoping TB can get another tonight!!
