While awaiting word if we get a NIT bid, is the team practicing or awaiting word of a bid to practice for their NIT opponent. Just curious if anybody has any info on the matter.

There is not going to be an invite my man. Way too many better teams that won't make the tourney ready to play in the NIT. There would have to be a BUNCH and I mean a bunch of teams decline the NIT before we would be invited.

Sadly, I agree. Our NET is something like 120. We are done.

Plus all these one seeds losing early in their tourneys potentially will take up more NIT bids.
To answer the question, yes, the NCAA allows schools who possibly could get a bid to a postseason tournament to continue to practice.
