Drake non-conference schedule

Drake has released their non-conference schedule. I can't find an official release online, but it was sent out to Drake season ticket holders. Here is a discussion on the Drake message board about it.

I particularly liked this quote from their message board.............

Really hard to comment on that schedule, since 7 of the 11 games are against unknown teams.

Cornell is obviously a gimme victory.....Iowa, Iowa State and UW-Milwaukee will be tough.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee has fallen on hard times and shouldn't be so tough. They were 9-22 last year with an RPI of 236.
Drake finished last year with their first winning season since 1987, 17-15 with an RPI of 113. However, they lost most of the talent from that team.

UW-M also lost a lot of talent but has a very good recruiting class coming in. I'd expect this to be a good game vs. Drake.

would surely include a couple other opponents.
Isn't SIU playing St. Mary's also?

They wouldn't have to play too much better, DU beat all three in-state D-1 schools last year.

I'm the one who made that post on drakenation.....but, I don't understand the kool-aid comment. :?: When I said those 3 teams would be tough, I meant that from the standpoint that it would be tough for Drake to beat them. Gonna be a long year in Bulldog-land.

No problem....I didn't take offense....I was just confused as to what the kool-aid comment was in reference to. Thanks for explaining.
