Drake player surprised with scholarship

Here's a nice story...
Garrett Stutz joined the Drake basketball team in 2018 as a walk-on. In his 3 seasons as a walk-on, Drake has won 24, 20, and 26 games, and Sturtz has been an important piece of Drake's success. He played in all 65 of Drake's game the last 2 seasons, and started 16 of them. And his stats have improved each season, despite not being one of Drake's main scoring options.

Today at a team meeting, his coach Darian DeVries surprised him by awarding him a scholarship-

Good for him. My understanding is that he hasn't paid any tuition at Drake. His mother is employed at Central College in Pella , Iowa. Their is some type of agreement between the private schools in Iowa that lets family members go to school tuition free if a family member works for one of the schools.

I believe that is true here in Ilinois also
