Dyricus Simms-Edwards

Only DSE and those closest really know. But it's sounds like it's time to fish or cut bait, as they say.

I could not agree more. We need players that regardless of influence know what the right thing is and they just do it! If he is just using us for a better opportunity then we should cut bait. I have a feeling that JL will be able to recruit who he really needs and want the following years to come and if your talent level is not of a D. Rose then why beg. We'll be fine without him and hopefully pick up a recruit that trully wants to be a Brave. Chemistry on a team goes a long way in basketball.

Every kid wants to come right in and be a starter. That usually doesn't happen. So I think it would be to Bradley's favor if a recruit does "shop around" and do some "comparison shopping". That way if and when he does choose Bradley, he won't regret not looking elsewhere. And maybe he will more likely be there for the long run.

I think there is TWO kinds of influence though SFP. Some "handlers" look at whats best for THEM IF the kid makes it big and others truly want whats best for the kid.

From all reports DSE has the latter and will make an informed decision.

I agree we will be "fine without him" but I ALSO feel we would be fine WITH him.

Dogrus, I have no idea who his handlers are but there comes a time when you need to step aside and do what is right for yourself regardless of handlers. Some may say that he may be too young to make that decision but we have young adults choosing to head to the military which to me is a much harder choice. All I am saying is that DSE by now knows what is right and he needs to step up to the plate and take his cut. Part of becoming a man is making those hard choices and living by them. ;-)

What a tough decision it must be for a kid, with the talent DSE has, to choose a place to play basketball. Welcome aboard, I don't care how long you waited to make your choice. I know it bothered some, but you are now a BRAVE. What a great Freshman class. Great job Coach Les.

Honestly though......He was ready to bolt to Rhode Island, then that Bill Cole thread mysteriously disappeared changing everything......;)

Get ready................

Your welcome......I thought this was cryptic enough.

I was so sure of the info I had that I went golfing in the rain fully expecting the good news by the time I got home. 3 holes later...YAHOO.

NEXT time I'll be a bit more vague....:)

Welcome DSE.

I am really pleased DSE is a Brave.I find it somewhat ironic after all the speculation the past few months that BU was "lukewarm" to him with Norris still on the roster. No wonder why he waited so long. And despite some of the talk of C Brown steering DSE away from BU, he has allot of praise for JL in PJS article. I still say DSE should be a RS candidate because of some of the injuries he's had but that's only 2 cents

Looks to me that BU and JL handled DSE with the utmost in respect and DSE did the same to BU.....that's a great start for their relationship
