Dyricus

How do you steal something (DSE) from someone (BU)... when that something (DSE) is NOT owned by someone (BU or anyone)?

Just to revisit the topic...........

From Illinois Prep Bullseye..........

... Now that Kenyon Smith has transferred to Lincoln Community College, Illinois State University now has an additional scholarship to give in the class of 2009. Which is why we expect Redbird head coach Tim Jankovich and his staff to go hard after 6'3 point guard Dyricus Simms-Edwards from Washington High School in Washington, IL as a possible spring signee. The Redbirds had been recruiting Simms-Edwards extremely hard prior to originally filling all of their spots in the 2009 class during the fall. Evansville is another Missouri Valley school making a strong push to try to land Simms-Edwards.

Where are you at BU? Why not a big push from JL/EB?

That brief blurb on Illinois Prep Bullseye nothing more than their writers' opinion that ISU will go after DSE harder now that they have an extra scholarship.

Personally, I don't think it changes anything, since Jankovich has over-recruited in past years, so if they really wanted DSE, I am sure they would continue to recruit him whether this extra scholarship became available or not. There is a reason DSE hasn't committed yet, maybe he wants to do better than ISU. And none of us know how involved Bradley is, because recruiting is kept secret a lot of times.

Haha, well I guess his last game against Geneseo was a fluke. He was 5-6 (I think) from range.. not a bad shooting effort for a kid that can't shoot.

Dyricus

I have been watching DYRICUS since the Pekin tournamnet in 07'
If we are not all over him, we should be. I do not care how many guards we have.IMO he is the real deal.
Also, with Wilkins being "benched" for the foreseeable future, we now have another scholie available for next year.
We should give one to DSE!8)

Whatever scholies we have available for next year need to go to shooters. Watching this team shoot from the perimeter makes my eyes very sad.

Last I saw in the PJS, Dyricus was shooting close to 54% from the field and I believe 82% from the line!

Washington beat Morton last night 51-43, but Dyricus didn't have a very good game. He scored just 6 pts on 1-4 shoot, but was 4-4 from the line. He got two ticky tack fouls called on him in the first two minutes of the game, so he sat for pretty much all of the rest of the first half. He came in in the second half and got another foul pretty quick and sat for more time in the third quarter. He eventually fouled out, but was not really a factor in the game at all.

Senior Ben Worner hit 5 three's (he's a great shooter) and scored 15 and Junior Colton Underwood really dominated inside in the first half, scoring 16 overall. Mark Roth (Matt's brother) is only a sophomore but seems to be a sixth man and he can light it up from 3pt range just like his brother. He might be someone to keep an eye on over the next two years, as he plays a big part in Washington's success.

I agree with both of those, but with Mark being a sophomore, he still has some time to grow, which I suspect he will.

I do think that Worner is good enough to play DI ball somewhere, but probably only at a low major school. He would be better suited going someplace like Illinois Wesleyan much like Sean Johnson did.

A Metamora fan told me that an African American guy wearing Colorado gear was sitting in the Redbird section for the Washington-Metamora game Friday night.I asked him if he was watching Schneider . Nope. He said he was soley watching DSE.
If you remember, C Brown was in Colorado for 2 years so there may be a connection and something to it.
BTW, Dyricus had a defensive rebound over Schneider and others in the middle of the 4th quarter that brought the house down. A rebound.....

Which is another reason, Bradley should sign DSE, ASAP!
He IS the real deal!

People dont kid yourself, playing D1 is hard to do. Woerner will not play D1, i repeat Not play D1. He is just like Molinari (with no connections of a dad who is a D! caoch haha). Shooters in high school that really dont have a position in college do not play D1 ball. Watch a D3 game and you will see soooo many good shooters that all were like the Woerners, Molinaris, and Les from high school. These shoter shooter kids are not needed to make a team undersized at D1 level. ALl those kids too slow and cant defend mediocre talents. So please show some respect to players who can actually play D1, and dont just say i think he can play D1. Because they cant!

Dyricus on the other hand is solid, and hopefully BU gets him. Even if he is a bust (which I think he will not be), at least dont give ISU the chance to geta solid PG/back PG

Evansville assistant Ben Wierzba was at the Washington Limestone game last night watching Simms-Edwards.

He can surely do better than Evansville.

Or can he?
