November 11th is the next signing date. I am not sure if it matters if we get anyone in the early signing period or not. Since I am impatient I was wondering do you think we will sign someone in the early signing period?
Officially....are there 2 or 3 rides for next season assuming JW counts for 1 of the 3 and how does it all work out with Harris now? :?
I would at least like to sign 1 high school senior that is at least 6-6 or bigger , we actually need another high school signee to give that incoming class 2 players as J.Wilkens will be in the sophomore class.
I am not positive, but I was under the impression he had to graduate before he could sign. Because he was not considered a qualifier from the transcripts.NO he has to play 2 semsters of JUCO ball before he can sign

Harris' 2 year mission starts this year so he will not be available until then.
From what I understand both of these are generally true in this specific case, but I believe the rule is that he must be able to show he is on track to graduate on time and I believe that will be very difficult to do until at least next semester...
I think you have it right. It would be very easy for him to show he is on track once the spring semester is over (or even after midterm in the spring), but probably not after the fall semester. He would have had to of taken several classes over last summer, a full load this fall, an interim class in January, a full load next spring, and finally a full load next summer. I think he could prove it at midterm next spring if he completes everything up to that point and is enrolled for summer school, and that really depends on the school.
I wonder how many credits he took over last summer (anyone know?) and how many he is enrolled in this fall? He will need somewhere between 62 or 64 hours to graduate (I don't know what his school requires). Maybe he can "clep" some of those hours? That's what I would be trying to do. I just hope he doesn't get sweet talked by someone else.
I also think that there is a good chance that if Jeff Wilkins is as good as advertised that he could attract the attention of programs who may be more attractive than BU in some ways...
I really don't believe this to be the case...
here is a perfect example of a kid who was a juco player
who had never even played a single game but signed a LOI

I don't think we have to worry about that. He used up his college elibility a LONG time ago:lol:
Different situation entirely.....Lance Stemler was a qualifier out of high school so he could sign. John Wilkins is not a qualifier.
