I coach at the jr. high level and in Illinois there is now 4 classes. My school is at the 1a level and I have coached at the state level last year, finishing 2nd and this year came within seconds of making a return trip. I don't care what level your school is at...3 titles in a row and 6 in 7 years is a heck of an accomplishment. Can't wait to see this guy in a BU uniform, a proven winner.

Wow, what a story...........I really wish the best for Eddren.

I don't think this was posted.........

Last night was the semi's for Louisiana's Class C, and UNDEFEATED Atlanta HS LOST their semifinal to Athens.
Reserve Christian won their semi 100-79 against Pleasant Hill, so Reserve will face Athens at Noon, Saturday, March 8 for the State title.
This is a rematch of the same two teams that met last year for the title, that Reserve won 61-59.

"But there's no doubt who the star to shut down is in this matchup. Reserve
Christian's Eddren McCain is a Bradley signee and averages a triple-double for
the season at 20 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds a game"

In the Reserve/Pleasant Hill game, Reserve moved to 38-9 by jumping quickly to an early 18 point lead in the first quarter. They cruised to a 32 point lead at half and easily held a 20+ point lead the rest of the way.
The largest lead was 41 points, as Reserve was never challenged by Pleasant Hill.
Reserve has only two seniors (Eddren being one of them), and they held Pleasant Hill's leading scorer (Tyler Johnson 25 ppg) scoreless in the first half on 0-7.

Eddren barely missed a TRIPLE DOUBLE even though he was rested by the coach for a considerable part of the 2nd half when the lead was over 30 pts.
Eddren finished with 27 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, SIX steals.

ps---Eddren's team has one 8th grader on the varsity team, Lucas Martin.

also see separate thread about the TV and radio coverage of Eddren's game.

So BU and a BU recruit will both be winning tournament titles Sunday afternoon? Sounds good to me..
