New Mexico State is planning on playing their regular schedule, but the Covid restrictions in New Mexico will not allow them to play in their home arena. Thus they are looking for an arena out of state that will allow them to play-

Cal State Northridge of the Big West has cancelled their women's basketball season because they have had six players opt out of playing and one foreign player unable to return to the US, leaving the team with only 6 players.

I am kind of doubting there will even be a college basketball season, things are not looking good. Wasn't Ivy the first to cancel back in March? I think we are in for a brutal winter, and probably no college basketball to make it any better.

The Ivy League appears to have been the first Division I conference to cancel all 2020 spring sports back on March 11-

They were also the first to cancel fall sports, including football, back on July 8-

And now they are the first D1 conference to cancel all winter sports.

Just got word, wife will be getting the vaccine sometime in December. Her hospital is getting doses soon. They said it wasn’t definitive, but they feel sure enough to start notifying people.

This is very encouraging. Usually it takes a minimum of 2-3 years or longer to develop a completely new vaccine and get it to market, but the collaborative effort proves that government and big business can work together for the benefit of the people.

We are literally 2-3 months away from a vaccine. You could in theory prioritize public athletes above the general public so we could safely return to sports in a few months. As long as doctors and nurses get it first, and maybe some other key areas important for national defense. Maybe next give it to the folks keeping us sane while we wait.

Its not that far off. Just pour yourself a pint and wait.

Healthcare workers, first responders, and the elderly (you can define that age group on your own. could start as young as 60) should be first in line. Just my two cents.

I had the virus last month. My son brought it home from school. Really mild symptoms. Nasal congestion, body aches, loss of taste and smell. I’ve been recovered for almost 2 weeks. Only lingering effect is the fatigue. I’m shot for the day by 2pm.

This is a little bit funny, but also a little bit sad-
Here is a picture of the Louisville team bench at their Yum Center arena and they prepare for their Tip-Off Classic. Louisville will face Evansville on Wednesday.
Their team bench is surrounded by and separated from the fans by an 8-foot plexiglass barrier. Plus their seats are arranged diagonally in groups of 2 or 3 to try to increase distancing.
