I think that post was directed at certain fans. Not the loyal old time fans in general.
No BU fan who makes it to the game should be critizied.

Couldn't agree more. I have noticed a couple of the biggest "fans" sitting on their hands no matter how BU was doing! If you aren't going to cheer this effort...what will you cheer for?

Bradley was on their way to another 30 point blowout if it wasn't for a couple key shots that got some momentum going.
Momentum works both ways......just like CU hitting 12 straight shots to start the 2nd half. It's confidence and momentum.
BU did well to stay in the game.
I guess I have no idea who you are referring to because I was watching the game and cheering as hard as ever - I was not really watching the other fans but most were pretty danged supportive and loud...and I kinda wonder why anyone would care what other fans are doing when BU was making a run like that???Couldn't agree more. I go to every single game and always have believing that our guys can win and need us to cheer them on!True. But I bet they thought they wouldn't have to stand up at all tonight against Creighton!![]()
Chico, I was referring to the people who come to the game and can't be bothered to cheer their team on, but can find the time to be loud with their criticism. You know my mother (Kappy) hated those type of fans!
I was impressed by our effort tonight on offense and encouraged with the overall attitude of the team. They didn't hang their heads when things went bad and just kept coming back! If we can get the defense on line we can surprise some people.

--but this was by far the best & most vocal crowd of the year...and again -- Congrats to Dave Snell, Rob Dye, et al...
Oh, I know you do tornado, and most Bradley fans are very supportive through thick and thin. But I was referring to the small segment of fans who are just there but don't really stand up and cheer when the team is rallying. I know some can't stand up, and it's not a prerequisite that fans have to stand up to enjoy the game and express themselves anyway. And it's less about last night when the crowd, as you said was about as vocal as they have been all year. But they need to be as vocal when Bradley plays teams like SIU and SEMO as they are against ranked teams.
I think when Bradley falls behind SIU by 6 points late in the game, the crowd is more shocked that we may lose to a team like them, and is thinking we will lose instead of standing and cheering. I know it's hard to equate SIU or Northeastern to Creighton, but we need to create an atmosphere each game as if we are playing Creighton or Michigan every night, even if we are playing say Chicago St. That's how we can get our once rock solid home court advantage back. Experience and better players will go a long way too of course.

Great effort, great crowd. If you are not encouraged by tonight's game, you clearly don't want us to be successful. It's about time I got to cheer!
but wait.....we've been told that the talent gap between us and the teams at the top of the Valley is as wide as the Grand Canyon!
According to the expert we don't have a chance of playing close to a team like Creighton and least of all when their star goes for forty..
Guess everyone doesn't remember the Braves playing their home games at the Peoria Armory.
I completely agree and really loved seeing every one of the assistant coaches waving their arms for the crowd to stand up last night. Unfortunately the coaches need to continue doing this until it becomes a habit again for the crowd to stand up and get LOUD. Coach Graham seemed to get frustrated at one point after encouraging the fans, who followed his lead, but then sat right back down as soon as Creighton made a basket. He waved his arms again and seemed to be saying "What are you doing.....get back up"!
