FWIW- what could have been for Doug Gottlieb when we played them up there....
Here's an interesting story... an NAIA kid who was a good scorer was recruited from NAIA to play last year at Green Bay- Anthony Roy.
Roy had averaged 18.4 ppg at NAIA Langston University, but improved to 25.7 ppg at Green Bay for Doug Gottlieb.
He only played 8 games at Green Bay due to injury but Green Bay still couldn't win, ending up 4-28 last year.
This year he's at Oklahoma State and last night in an exhibition against Auburn, Roy went off for 28 pts, 12 reb hitting 5-10 from 3-point.
Roy benefitted from the 2020-21 Covid year, plus he got a injury/redshirt year so this is his 6th year of college basketball.
It is also remotely possible he could play one more year if the NCAA juco waiver is granted again next year, since he spent a year at juco.
Oklahoma State won in OT
in another exhibition game between two teams picked to be at the bottom of their respective conferences,
Georgia narrowly edged Georgia State 65-61 in a game with a lot of missed shots & turnovers.
