Announcement of a Bradley commitment is coming in the next couple days, though it is not the one that has gotten the most discussion here in the last few days.
Peoria Notre Dame grad, and high scoring Division II guard Connor Dillon will soon be a Bradley Brave. Connor just completed his 4th season at Winona State University, averaging a team-leading 21.6 ppg, which ranked 13th in the country among D2 players. He also had 3.8 rpg and 3.0 apg, and shot 39.0% from three.
I hear Coach Wardle liked Connor in high school, and is happy to land him for his extra Covid season. He is a hard-working and smart player with excellent scoring and passing skills.

Twin brother Declan Dillon (6.7 ppg, 4.7 rpm, 3.7 apg) is also considering an offer to join the 2024-25 Bradley team as a non-scholarship player.

Sounds like he could be a really nice fit on the team. We need shooters, and with him being 22-23 yrs old, shouldn't be a hard adjustment coming over to D-1.

Thank you coach for your up to date info on basketball topics. I do not have the connections as you to be in the know. So I check the board here for the latest. Hope whoever we land in the portal or transfers, we have better luck than last year. Always a unknown until they get on campus and see if they fit into Wardle's system. Hope our two incoming recruits honor their commitment and sign their NLI. Season is a ways off, but chomping at the bit for it to start all over again. Hoping for a team that will contend for the top spot or even win the conference outright.

It will be nice to have a local player (or two) on the roster. The last scholarship player from the local area was Nate Kennell. That might help generate more local interest and create more Bradley fans. :)

Bradley is getting all the commitment's done… I have a source that confirms Zek is back (this source is not Duke Dean’s Twitter post ).

If Zek is coming back I hope Brian got his word for a two year commitment. If he leaves after next season it would be such a bad look for us

Why? Let's say he comes back, is Valley POY and leads us to the NCAAT. Then the following year leaves to go play in the Big10. It would be a worse look for us than if he never came?

I just don't understand this line of thinking. It's time we start looking at college basketball season by season.

We need to save the last scholarship for a big man, a post up guy

There are still 3 open scholarships. I'm guessing one big man, one wing guard, and one more guard with PG skills from the transfer portal.
If both Dillon and Montgomery commit as is rumored, the 10 scholarship players for 2024-25 are:
Darius Hannah
Duke Deen
Connor Dillon
Zek Montgomery
Christian Davis
Ahmet Jonovic
Demarion Burch
Almar Atlason
Timoty van der Knaap
Jaquan Johnson

I was thinking that also.. A good job of recruiting so far. Whenever you recruit a player you never know how he will turn out. You hope he does what you think but it does not always turn out that way. What I like about Zek is you know what you are getting and what he can do

Doesn’t zek only have 1 more year?

Yes, Zek is a senior next year, and did not play in 2020-21, thus is not entitled to the extra Covid year. Next year will be his last.
