Favorite Bradley Memorabilia?

lightsout

I was just thinking what kind of great Bradley memorabilia other Braves fans have and what are some of your favorite pieces? I attached some pictures of a few pieces of Bradley stuff I have collected over the last few years. My favorite is the newest addition, a framed picture of Chris Roberts that my girlfriend got me last week for a birthday present. She had a class with Chris last semester and had him sign the picture before class one day. Also really enjoy the Marcus Pollard autographed Bradley mini football helmet and the team signed basketball from the 16 sweet run year. Hope to see some pictures of other peoples Bradley memorabilia!

I??™d also like to get the Andrew Warren retro jersey signed and framed in the future.

Great stuff. And this is a good topic for the offseason.

I have been collecting stuff a little longer than most here, I suspect, over 35 years.

I have some unis, and media guides and programs that go back into the late 40's.

Perhaps the item I have that is the coolest and rarest is the 1953 warmup jacket I have. These can be seen in the team picture in the 1953 Bradley yearbook.

By the way, it has the number 33 written inside it. I suspect it was worn by BU HOFer Bob Carney, who was the only #33 during that era of the 50's.

A couple more things worth mentioning--

I have a ring from the 1985-86 season- when Bradley went 32-3, and featured Jim Les and Hersey Hawkins, won the MVC (went undefeated, the last MVC team to do so), and played in the NCAA in Ogden, Utah.
It belonged to Anthony Manual. He apparently pawned it, and I bought it from a pawn broker.

and I also have a ring from the 1987-88 MVC championship team that played in the NCAA in Atlanta. This one was an extra from the ones that were ordered for the team and coaches. I bought it at an auction at the Oct. 1988 Itoo Hall event. It is not engraved with a name.-

Wow! Very cool Coach, both the rings and the the warm up jacket are awesome. This is the kinda stuff I was hoping to see great items!!

I dont have pictures, but I have a 1950 yearbook that is signed by most of the team, and I have a Sweet 16 T-shirt that is signed by the entire team that is framed. The next thing that I want to do is to have Chris Roberts sign my ticket that I kept from the Oakland game and then create a display similar to your picture lightsout.

Hawkins Basketball

Hawkins Basketball

My son has a Hersey Hawkins signed basketball. It's never been used in a game since the day Hawk signed it.

I was student manager for the 32-3 team and also have a ring just like the one above.. ALso have a game ball...

Have an autographed Hawkins photo of him dunking- and you can see me on the bench....

Plus many memories of those teams and players, Coach V and Coach Barone... I shoudl write a book sometime... lol

I have a basketball autographed by both Jim Les and Hersey Hawkins, which I won in a raffle. It's from their days working one of the camps here in Peoria, probably the mid 90's. I actually would consider reasonable offers for it.

DC...did you get that warm-up on Ebay? I think you may have just outbid me for it, as I painfully lost an auction on the exact same warm-up a few years ago.

I would say my favorite items are my pennant signed by the top 3 scorers in school history (Hawkins, Anderson, Phegley), my autographed Sweet 16 basketball, and my Hersey Hawkins game jersey.

Still looking for those elusive game shorts from the '96 MVC title team...

Don't have lot of stuff but do have a stack of programs from the 60's. Oldest one is the Arizona St game in 1963. I am proud of keeping a record of Hersey's entire rookie season, game by game. Every stat I could think of. Showed it to him and Jim Les when they were at Peoria High for their camp. They sat down and made several comments about different games, etc. Hawk signed it and thanked me for going through all the work. I guess most of my stuff is in my head, like going to the Armory and watching Bradley play a double-header.

Memorabilia

Memorabilia

I have the 7 foot blue and white pennant ("1950 NCAA Western Champions") that hung from the rafters of Robertson for many, many years. Also a complete collection of pencil-sketch portraits of the 1950 team, rendered by local artist Willard Waugh.

Very cool idea Beninator, I wish I would of thought of incorporating my ticket in the display.
