FINAL BU 58 - DU 64 post game thread

JL said on the postgame that he said "Foul."

haha just like Kevin Garnett said "you are cancerous to your team and organization" as apposed to "you look like a cancer patient". Props to KG on the most intricate diss to another player, if the first is what he really said haha. Yes Jimmy, im sure you said foul, and I bet you also had a big ol :cry::cry: face on too.

I can believe it. Wasn't it Pollard who called it? There is a lot of history there, and I can believe anything with Pollard.

Agreed on Pollard. The guy is awful and has made some unconscionable calls against us in the past. Bad T for Les, but I don't think it affected the outcome. There were some worse calls on Dyricus earlier in the game that I think had more of an effect. When it rains it pours.

I would say officially that it is now the darkest days of BU basketball we've seen in some time. As Dan Bernstein would say, we are headed for "fun bad." It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the upcoming weeks.

That's funny you mentioned Bernstein! I was thinking of exactly the same thing earlier tonight, but I feel the opposite wat. I think this team is scary bad. There is nothing funny about this because this team is playing scared right now. If this team wasn't giving the effort and just looking like they didn't give a care, then I would probably call this team "fun bad". But it's just amazing how far we have fallen based on the loss of two, albeit good players.

Let's not forget this is the SECOND time this year that Les has gotten a T in the waning minutes of an extremely tight game. I think the other was the USC game, where we managed to escape with a win, but getting a T in that situation is absolutely inexcusable.

If I remember correctly he also claimed he said "foul" to get the other T. I was willing to chalk it up to an out of control ref once (more willing because it didn't end up costing us), but I'm not buying it a second time.

Agreed here too. We need to be able to score more points, not rely on playing perfect defense or who gets the last possession.

I bet Detroit and USC are sitting at home asking "how did we lose to THIS team?!"

Shut the foul up! You've gotta be fouling kidding!

Ha ha!

It reminds me of that episode of the Brady Bunch where Carol tells Cindy "not to use THAT word!" I think she was referring to the word stinker, which is in the same league as "foul" as far as I'm concerned!

If THAT word bothers Pollard, then he's got bigger issues than I thought!

Not in this instance, but anything is possible. Mo never swore, but if he dropped a word like "crap" the refs adjusted and knew he had crossed the line.

You have to be joking, I heard he swore so much at the team after losing at ISU one year that a certain bus driver told his company he would never drive BU to anymore games.

I also agree it's not fun, just using Bernsie's terminology to say that this thing will get a little crazy for the next six weeks. Good chance BU could be 0-9 in the league when they play the Deadbirds. By then fun bad will be in full effect, and this board will be out of control.

WE only 14 minutes tonight....thats not gonna get it....AT 7 rbs and 4 pts in 21 minutes

I have been complaining about Will and his dumb fouls this whole season, does he realize how much he hurts the team by not being able to play at least 30 minutes, he is capable of putting up big numbers if he could stay in the game, cannot believe someone has not been able to break him of his bad habits, will he ever learn as he is in his 4th year.
