5th year grad transfer from UAB Nick Norton, tore the ACL in his left knee in their first conference game on January 2 at Evansville, and is out for the season. Drake ended up losing that game in double overtime. Drake was 11-2 in their non-conference schedule, but since Norton's injury, they are just 1-3 in the MVC. Norton tore his right ACL in the first game of his junior season at UAB on Nov. 11, 2016. He ended up missing the rest of that season and took a medical redshirt. But he came back in 2017-18 to average 7.5 ppg and 5.0 assists per game for UAB. Norton also tore that same ACL as a junior in high school, so this current injury is his 3rd ACL tear and repair.

The bottom line, no matter how good or bad we look, is that we just need a win. I know this team has it in them. Time to get er done!

Will be many fans at game and at home cheering for a Bradley victory. Often silent, but always in support of team.
Let all parts of this Bradley Team effort show tonight, and get the win!

Halftime score- Drake 33 Bradley 15

15 first half points against a bad Drake team that is BY FAR the worst defensive team in the MVC. They rank dead last in defense, giving up 73.5 ppt, 4 points more than the next worse team. Bradley 5-33 (15%), and 1-9 from three (missed their last 8 ).

Maybe we could try something a bit different on offense?

This is just becoming unreal, 15 points at half, missing 20 straight shots!!! Just play the Freshman the rest of the game.

BU has 15 (FIFTEEN!!!) points at halftime, at HOME, against Drake. I'm guessing there is some internal problem(s) that has risen to the surface. After last season, everyone was looking forward to this season, based on the players that were returning. There was so much promise shown in the non-con portion of the season. Why have the wheels fallen off?? At this rate, BU will have a perfect season in the MVC but not the kind of perfect season anyone should be proud of.

What a pathetic offensive showing. We’d be better off just chucking up half court shots and staying on the defensive side of the court. Sad.

Don’t want to be negative...might hurt somebody’s feelings. Fallout? Highly doubtful after this length of time. Even the Japanese quit using that as an excuse after WWII and that was much more serious. Call it what you want. I’’lll call it what it is......a train wreck.

Attendance 4654, which I believe once again sets an all time record low for a home conference game going back to before the Fieldhouse era when attendance was not regularly reported...
but I think we could see the record set again unless we start winning...

Coach....You've got to be kidding! "Try something Different on Offense!".....We don't need to try something different on offense.....We need an entirely new offensive philosophy and approach. Toss out what we are doing and start all over. MAYBE WE SHOULD BEGIN WITH A NEW COACH AND STAFF. This Bradley team, coaches, and program is a laughing stock. Our coach hasn't the foggiest idea where to begin. He avoids talking x's & O's on his radio show and in his vaunted Q. & A request. The BU basketball program is an embarrassment to the university and to the Peoria area community. Our coach has not recruited enough talent and he keeps a tight leash and doesn't know what to do. If Chris R. cannot fix this by early summer, we need to drop out of the MVC, move to Divn. 2 and play our home games at the Ren Com.
My wife and I are Bradley graduates and have had season tickets for over 50 years. However, unless there is a major change in the BB program, we will not renew. The price is far too high for the kind of lousy basketball Bradley produces. Our program is at a crossroads even worse than under G. Ford and Joann G. Chris has the ball and the future is in his hands.

my son said it best - it just hasn't been any fun going to Bradley games since before Geno Ford

It's a little bit easier to say that after what we've been watching during the last month and a half. ;-) But seriously folks we were 13-2 at home last year and we were 14-4 in Geno's 2nd year so we've had a few fun moments. But those moments have been few and far between. We've lost at least 20 games in 6 of the last 8 years. There's been too many moments that I've gone, "What the hell just happened" and "Are you serious?" and "Really?" and "How can we keep missing point blank shots". And while we can blame you know who for where we are at as a program the fact of the matter is she hasn't been here for a while. These are players that Wardle recruited. And none of them can consistently get off a shot. But do we do anything to get them open? Again not consistently enough. Too often we don't initiate the offense soon enough and we end up having to resort to throw it up and hope it goes in kind of a shot. As bad as we've been on offense our defense hasn't been no bed of roses either. We've made other teams big men look like Shaq too often and other teams sure can find an open man for a wide open shot. Why have we've gotten to this point? I wish I knew but it just makes no sense for a team to go from a 20 win season to what looks like will be a losing record with most of the 20 win team intact. Something just isn't working and they half a month and a half to figure it out or we'll be playing on Thursday at Arch Madness. And if they end up in the play in game again there should be some serious questions asked about the make up of the team next season from both a player stand point and a coaching stand point.
