Indiana State has 3 players scoring in double digits, all guards and wing players. In fact, their top 5 scorers and their top 4 rebounders are all guards & wings-

None of their inside players (Murphy, Bunschoten, Rickman) average more than 4.8 ppg or 4.2 rpg.

Unlike past seasons, Indiana State is not a great three point shooting team (only 32.1%). They have 2 players who shoot pretty well- Brenton Scott at 40.4% overall (7th among MVC players) and 41.1% in MVC games (5th best), and Matt Van Scyoc at 33.8%. Those 2 players have taken 310 of the 607 three point attempts for Indiana State this season.
Nobody else on the team shoots better than 29%.

We beat 'em before, let's beat 'em again. For some reason, I've got a good feeling about this team as we head into Arch Madness. Seem to be coming together, and the 20+ point losses are getting more towards only losing by 10 or so points. We win on Thursday, get real lucky on Friday (hey, it has happened before) and we set ourselves up for a strong finish and something to build on in 2016/2017. Go Braves!

we played a good half except poor shot selection, turnovers, and gave up a couple easy offensive rebs

ISU rebounded 5 of their first 8 misses and held Bradley scoreless for just more than the first 5 minutes. Ronnie Suggs scored 7 unanswered after the under 4 timeout to bring it to a 4 point game but we could only manage 1 point after that. We are down 28-37 at the half.

Just looked at the play-by-play, we scored at 14:23 and were down 9-0 at that point. Meaning we played them dead even the rest of the half.

Also just noticed there were no stats for Luuk. Is he hurt again? Anybody have the scoop on what's up?

Luuk van Bree was supposedly suspended for just the 1st half. But now he is not even on the bench for the 2nd half. Never came out of the locker room. Looks like he isn't playing at all.

Luuk van Bree has been sat the first half for a team discipline issue - but would have played the 2nd half but is sick & has flu-like symptoms...

broadcasters said the Sycs had a good crowd - but it's hideous...
80 of the seats empty

I am at the game. Luuk never came out of the locker room after halftime. He is not on the bench. To me, that suggests he will not play at all.

Pretty forgettable game. Just don't understand how we're not ready at the start of games. Not a good springboard into Arch Madness but come Thursday it's a new season. Embrace the moment boys.

I am interested to hear more on what happened with van Bree. Weird situation, if it truly was a 1 half suspension that stretched to a full game suddenly, not a good sign.
