Bradley has a 7 game win streak. SIU has a 1-game win streak, beating Valparaiso Tuesday (2/14) 66-62.
Bradley is tied for 1st place in the MVC with Drake, and SIU is in a 3-way tie for 3rd place with Indiana State and Belmont-
MVC Standings- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/standings/_/group/18

Bradley beat SIU in their earlier meeting in Peoria on Feb. 1, 62-52, as Bradley's defense (primarily Malevy Leons) held SIU's leading scorer Marcus Domask to just 5 points, which is his lowest scoring output of the season. SIU shot 42.2% for the game, but just 29.4% (5-17) from three. Ja'Shon Henry had perhaps his best offensive game of the season with a team-leading 13 points on 5-7 shooting. The game stayed close and was tied 48-48 with under 5 minutes left. But then Bradley went on a 14-2 run to pull ahead 62-48, then an unguarded layup by SIU at the buzzer ended the game 62-52.

Leading scorer Marcus Domask (16.5 ppg) is shooting 32.1% from three this season, and their second-leading scorer Lance Jones (13.8 ppg) is shooting 28.1%. However, they always seem to have good games against Bradley in Carbondale, especially Jones.

Bradley remains the #1 team in rebounding margin with +4.0. SIU ranks 8th with -0.7.

Tommy you just put yourself in a difficult spot. If you don’t go and we win you will be forgiven-however if you don’t go and we don’t win it will all be on you !!!

Trying to convince Dub to go. We've been to every game during this 7 game win streak. I don't like to brag, but I think it's been all us. ;)

You don't sound too convinced about that Tommy. U better test it once more time to convince Braves nation too! ;)

LOL, I know HB, see, you get it!

The success of our team is fully on Dub and my shoulders at this moment in time, LB! ;-)

This will be the most physical game we have played in this year. SIU will start hand checking our guys during warmups and won't stop till the game is over. They have this reputation as being a great defensive team and they take full advantage of it. This goes back to when Lowery was coaching there. We have to be strong with the ball and play through a lot of contact, plus their crowd will be all jacked up. We need to get off to a good start.

Up until recently we have had struggles in getting off to good starts. In 2 of our last 3 games we have changed that around. Against ISU Red we started on a 9-0 run that we extended to a 15-2 start. Against Missouri State we started on a 16=4 run. In an atmosphere that should be electric we need a similar start. Have to avoid unforced turnovers and not get too one on one on offense. Have to communicate on defense and keep them off their offensive boards. Have to limit any runs that the dogs might have because that will help keep the crowd in check. We have a decided advantage inside that we need to go to early and often. Time to go GET ER DONE!

We are a modestly better overall team than SIU on the whole. However they are perfectly capable of beating us, home or away. They had us in rough shape for a good chunk of the day when we played at our place…

it will likely depend on which team handles the pressure better and avoids the “yips”

im looking forward to seeing how our guys can keep up this newfound road toughness. It’s primarily a mental game now for Bradley.

This might be a must win with that rule change from NET tiebreaker to the records against the next top team on down. Because of losing to Belmont twice I think we want Drake to win today too with that rule right? Drake falling one game behind really does nothing for us, as if they beat us they still hold the tiebreaker anyway. It’s pretty doubtful they lose Wednesday either. If we win we hold the edge on Drake against SIU and Indiana St., Drake will have the edge against Belmont.

I don’t really see a scenario where we tie with Drake and have the edge actually anyway. I guess the only one would be if we lost today and won against them and in that case Indiana St. would have to pull ahead of Belmont. So Drake needs to win today. How about we just win them all and leave no doubt?

Yes, it still remains totally in Bradley's own hands. If they win their last 3 game, then it doesn't matter what anyone else does.
Note that Belmont has 3 tough games remaining. There are still a lot of variables, but if they lose 2 of them, that could drop them out of the tiebreaker formula for any ties involving BU, SIU, and Drake, which then might benefit Bradley. Bradley's 1-0 record against Indiana State might give Bradley the higher seed in a tie with Drake, SIU, or InSU.
Of course, it would also help Bradley's tiebreaker chances if they beat SIU today, giving them a 2-0 record against them, which cancels out the 0-2 record with Belmont.

It looks like there is a good chance the uneven schedule will have an effect on any tiebreaker.
