Final score: Bradley 64 SIU 59

TCB boys! Everyone in the Mo Valley thinks last years win was a fluke. Show them how sorry they should be for thinking that way. I expect SIU to play well today but we will pull it out in the last few minutes. Let’s do this boys! GET ER DONE!

WOOOOOOOOO! What a hard fought gutsy effort from both teams. But once again we just found a will and a way to win! Next game will be tough but play with the same effort and we will find a way to win! GREAT JOB BOYS AND WAY TO GET ER DONE!

Just got back to our hotel in St. Louis, and I am not sure my heart rate has returned to normal yet. :)

What a game! Here are the final stats-

After poor shooting hindered the Braves for the first 30 minutes, they finally put together a bit of a scoring streak with good defense and pulled back to take the lead. SIU plays tough defense
And with clutch shooting, rebounds, and FTs (BU was 10-10 from the FT line in 2nd half) down the stretch, they hung on for one of the toughest wins all year.
Darrell Brown had 19 points & 8 assists and several clutch FTs late
Elijah Childs overcame a slow start to finish with 16 points & 9 rebounds
And Ville saved the day for BU with his 3 second-half three pointers.

Looking forward to playing Drake tomorrow for another chance to get to the final.

Almost like a heavyweight fight! Back and forth down the stretch. What a gut it out win. Let’s take care of business again tomorrow! Go Braves!

Key play of the game- Bradley finally takes the lead for good 61-59 with a terrific pass from Nate Kennell to Ja'Shon Henry who scores and is fouled.

Ja'Shon made the FT, and 2 Darrell Brown FTs later, the final score is Bradley 64 - SIU 59

For those who want to watch this game again, it will be replayed at 9:00 pm Central on FoxSports Midwest after the St. Louis Blues hockey game.

Ville was 4-8 from three today, and is now 41-102 on the season (40.2%). But he started the season 2-22, which included an 0-15 stretch.
So since he got past that 2-22 stretch, Ville is 39-80 from three (48.8%).
That 48.8% percentage would put him among the top 5 three point shooters in the country, and would be by far, the top 3-point percentage in the MVC.
I can see Ville taking Nate's place in the starting lineup next year.

VILLE! VILLE! VILLE!
Kept us in the game pretty much and put us in the lead...every 3-ball was big.
EVERY possession in that game was BIG.
That was a BIG win!

Nice job boys!

He is going to pass Kennel for 2nd on the all-time BU 3-point shooting list...book it.
Very very tough to stop him with such a quick release and super rotation...not to mention his thru-the-roof confidence.

DC - that was about as tense a game as we've had all season.
I thought not much could compare to the thriller vs Mo State a couple weeks ago.

At times in the game, I didn't think we were going to take the lead ever.
Sooooooo glad we get another game for DB, NK, and KB.
It will be sad to not be able to watch someone on the caliber of Darrell Brown Jr. at PG, with his intensity and passion.
But joyful to reflect on so many great moments he's given us wearing his #5 jersey.

Let's play for the seniors Saturday to get back to Sunday Funday!

I agree with you Da Coach - when these types of close games come down to the final minute - I think about Jim Valvano and the 1983 North Carolina State Wolfpack "Cardiac Kids" ... and then drift off thinking of all the incredible Bradley victories - this year and years past.

The other day - maybe over a week ago - I believe it was Dan of the WMBD "Greg and Dan Show" - stated after Bradley won a close game - "Bradley you are giving me a ulcer" - LOL. :D

Looking forward to tomorrow's game against (of all teams) Drake.

GO BRAVES !!!
