They are coached by Todd Kowalczyk in his 10th season at Toledo. Kowalczyk previously coached at Wisconsin-Green Bay from 2002-2010. At Green Bay, he hired Marquette's Director of Basketball Operations, Brian Wardle in 2005 as his assistant coach. Coach Wardle remained an assistant until Toledo hired Kowalczyk as their head coach in 2010, which lead to Coach Wardle's first head coaching job.

Considering what the Braves were dealt today with the suspensions and loss of Elijah this team played tremendous! Probably one of Darrells best games this year. Also the future at point guard looks really bright with Antonio
 
I didn’t get to watch because I had to work, but looking at the stats our free throw shooting saved us. We shot poorly again and Ville appears to have had a bad game. It’s not a simple matter to be down 3 players all of a sudden and pull one out so kudos to the team, plus Antonio had a great showing. Our lack of efficient offense is gonna be our downfall the rest of the season. We still have the D to have a chance in every game from here on out. If things click at the right time we could be in the NCAA tourney again. I’ve got my fingers crossed
 
40 minutes of effort explains this game and it’s what Wardle has preached since he’s been our coach. Effort will always give you a chance. That’s what we haven’t had in the road so far this season. I’ve been talking up Thomas for the past month and he had a wonderful game on both ends. Kingsby is going to lose playing time to this kid. I really liked our aggressiveness to the hoop and it was nice to convert on our FT’S! On to the Mo Valley season. Need to keep bringing that 40 minutes of effort boys! Get Er Done!
 
I agree I bet Antonio gets the start against Drake. Danye is going to have to take it back. Really impressed by Antonio's play today.

I realize it’s just one good game but check my math:

(Brown at PG) + (Kingsby at SG) < (Thomas at PG) + (Brown at SG)
 
Darrell Brown, Jr.'s 29 points yesterday gives him 171 points for the season (average of 13.2 ppg), and 1,536 points for his 3½ year career.
He now moves past L.C. Bowen and into 13th place on the Bradley all-time scoring list.

Can we all agree that this team (D.Brown most specifically) is entirely different at home as opposed to on the road? Take out the Kansas St. game and the home/away difference is astounding.

I agree Tommy. Totally different team at home. I like Dubs post too. I know it was just one game but I really like Thomas at the point and Brown at the shooting guard. Sometimes it doesn’t hurt to mix things up a little bit
 
Here is an interesting trend... after each of Bradley's 4 losses, they bounced back with perhaps their best 4 games of the season, winning each by double-digits+.
After the opening night loss at St. Joseph's, Bradley played a terrific game and pummeled IUPUI by 34 points 90-56.
After the loss to Northwestern, they bounced back the next night with possibly their most impressive win over a good Kansas State team 73-60.
After losing at Memphis, they came back and played another terrific game against NC A&T and clobbered them by 31 points, 83-52.
And after the disappointing loss at Miami, they bounced back to easily knock off the top MAC team Toledo 78-66.

I had noticed this as well, and you can’t chalk it all up to home vs away, since one of the “loss / bounce back” cycles was on a neutral court. I think what it shows is that we have the talent and game plan to win, and our deficiencies show up as lapses in mental toughness and attitude. While it’s not good to have that propensity, it’s likely more fixable than lacking in size, strength, or coaching, etc.
