Final score- Bradley 88 Princeton 64

I can't recall a game where a coach used up all his timeouts with 13 minutes left in the game!

Great end to first half, and WOW what a second half. Especially Johnson and Wheeler. Hard to duplicate those two performances game in and game out. Whatever they can contribute is a big plus. Great to see Richardson and Zobrist be able to contribute. Hope it builds their confidence to be able to produce more for the team. Listening to Coach Wardle on the post game show he continues to be of the opinion that we can and should be a better rebounding team going forward. He and staff will continue to emphasize the need to get better as he should. Short turnaround to get ready for the next game. Let's get another win guys.

I could not watch the game. I have ESPNPlus only not ESPNU. I sent them a little note voicing my displeasure with that. What good that will do

Great 2nd half. Bradley outscored Princeton 48-30 in the 2nd half for the 88-64 win.
Once the offense got going late in the 1st half, they were unstoppable. Bradley shot 55% overall (30-55) and 47% from three (14-30). They were 14-20 on free throws (70%).
Other impressive stats-
Only 9 turnovers compared to 24 by Princeton
14 steals by Bradley

Timoty van der Knaap was given the Player of the Game award- 15 points, team-high 8 rebounds, 5-8 from the floor, 2-4 from three, and only 1 turnover in 27 minutes.
Jaquan Johnson 13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals in just 22 minutes
Alex Huibregtse was great- 11 points, 2 assists, 3 steals, and hit big threes when it was needed to pull Bradley ahead.
Montana Wheeler- a career game (for his brief career, so far)- team high 16 points and team-high 6 assists. He was everywhere
Corey Thomas, A.J. Smith, and Demarion Buirch didn't put up big numbers, but they played good defense, and didn't turn the ball over (2 turnovers from all 3 combined).

The only down side was rebounding- BU again got outrebounded by a smaller team 34-24

On to the semifinal round- Bradley will play UC San Diego, who beat Temple 91-78, at 5 pm Eastern time (4 pm Central), Tuesday, Nov. 25.
The game is scheduled to be on ESPN2 cable channel, and possibly also on ESPN+

Off topic from the team, wonder if Duke Dean was able to watch his heir apparents play like they did yesterday. Sure he was all smiles watching Johnson and Wheeler if he was able to watch.

You couldn’t watch it and Bradley played its best game of the year🤷‍♂️. Maybe you should spend more time with the wonderful woman in your life! Hope your busy at around 4:00 today🤣

Great game overall but AJ needs to start rebounding because he was brought in to get us around 7 boards a game. Timo, Montana and Bully were great yesterday but we need more out of our seniors.

In yesterday's win by UC San Diego, they shot 62.5% overall (35-56) and 65.4% in the 2nd half (17-26).
They were 12-24 from three for the game (50.0%). Their opponent, Temple, came into the game 3-1 with blowout wins over Delaware State and LaSalle, and a 5 point win over a good Hofstra team. Their defense was solid, yielding 70.0 ppg and 42.7 FG% defense. So UC San Diego's stellar offensive game yesterday was not because they were playing a cupcake. They have been very good shooting the ball this season. They came into yesterday's game shooting 50% overall in their previous 4 games, and now shooting 52.4% for the season. That currently ranks 16th among the 363 Division I teams-

Their team 3-point percentage is 38.0%, which is good, but it is not even in the top 50 among D1 schools. So they can hurt an opponent from the 3-point line, but they do most of their damage closer to the basket. They scored 44 of their 91 points yesterday "In the Paint".
So Bradley simply needs their best defense today, especially in the lane.
Their top scorer yesterday was Leo Beath, a 6'8" redshirt junior transfer from Lynn University, a D2 school in Boca Raton, Florida. He had 29 points on 11-14 overall, and 4-5 from three. Last season at Lynn, he averaged 17.8 ppg, and he was averaging 17.0 for UCSD prior to yesterday's game. So yesterday was an outlier performance for Barth. Most of his baskets were open shots that came on defensive mistakes and mismatches, which the UCSD offense is good at creating. They are not real quick, but they are good at cutting and screening and finding the open player or a mismatch. I really think a zone defense would be very effective against their offense, from what I saw, but I realize Coach Wardle doesn't like playing a zone except on rare isolated possessions. The coaches spent all game at courtside scouting them, so let's hope they come up with an effective plan. They are beatable, but we need a good defensive (and offensive) game today to win.
