Downside from last night was we were out rebounded once again. Coach Wardle on post game stated that this will be a even stronger point of emphasis this week. I've noticed for the majority of league play, we play very well 1 of 3 games, play like crap 1of 3 and play ok/well enough to win one of 3 and grind out a win late.

This may consist of consistency in some form. LOL
 
That "inconsistent" adjective could be applied to nearly every MVC team this season. :cool:

Among the top 6 teams:
Illinois State was supposed to be the cream of the crop in the MVC. They won their first 4 games, and have gone 4-6 since then.
Northern Iowa was picked 2nd. They won their first 4 games, then lost 5 in a row, and now have won 4 of their last 5 beating Bradley once and Murray State twice.
Murray State was picked 4th. They won their first 8 MVC games and looked like they would run the table. But then they lost 4 in a row, and now just got beat by 29 at home by UNI.
Belmont, picked 5th, has been a bit more consistent. They went 3-2 in their first 5 games, then won 9 straight before Bradley beat them this week.
And UIC lost 5 of their first 6 MVC games, then won 8 in a row, and now has lost their last 2.

We have some work to do to secure one of the Top 3 seeds! Gotta take 2 of the last 3 on the road and split the 2 remaining home games.
Basically, win 3 and we should be in good shape. Win 4 including Murray and we likely get the 2-seed.

Going by our trends, I see us winning 3 of the last 5, and this Sunday is an absolute MUST win, but u never know which SIU team is going to show up. They can be very good and have played well in the last 5 games. They matched up well with us in the 1st meeting too.
Not gonna be easy.

Sundays game against SIU might be the toughest of the 5 considering how all of a sudden they found their offense. We just need to focus on one game at a time. These last 5 games we need to play with more intensity because they have so much meaning as to where we will be seeded. I just wish I could count on us to be consistent on both ends of the floor.

I agree. It’s silly to speculate. The staff has earned my trust. There’s a lot behind the scenes we don’t know and don’t need to. Enjoy the sport and the team and Roll with it.
