Next game: Bradley vs. Duquesne in Akron, Monday, Dec. 18- the game is at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, OH.

Bradley (6-4) travels back to Akron to play Duquesne (7-2) on Monday, Dec. 18, presumably at 6:00 pm Central time.
The Duquesne schedule (as well as virtually every other source) shows this game is at 7 pm EST, which is 6:00 pm Central.
However, the Bradley schedule shows the game time is 7:00 pm Central. Is this an error? Hopefully, someone can clear up this discrepancy.

The game is at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, as Duquesne head coach Keith Dambrot is from Akron, and was the coach at SVSM HS from 1998-2001, and coached LeBron James. He has schedule one game Akron with free admission in 5 of the last 6 seasons (the Covid year of 2020-21 was excluded), as an homage to his hometown of Akron and to St. Vincent St. Mary HS, who hired him in 1998 when nobody else would hire him due to an incident of him using a word that was considered a slur.- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Dambrot#Central_Michigan_University

Their game last year (11/18/22) at SVSM HS against Colgate drew an attendance of only 429. The previous year (12/19/21), their game against UC-Irvine drew only 211.

There is no TV or video stream available for this game. It appears that none of Duquesne's previous games in Akron were televised or streamed.

Duquesne University is a private Catholic university located in Pittsburgh. The Duquesne Dukes are a member of the Atlantic-10 Conference.
Last season they were 20-13 overall and 10-8 in the A-10, good for a tie for 6th place (out of 15 teams). They were picked 4th in the 2023-24 A-10 Preseason Poll.

The Duquesne roster includes a couple former MVC players. Dusan Mahorcic played a season for Illinois State, and is now a grad-transfer at Duquesne. But he is out with a knee injury and has not played this season. Tre Williams played his freshman season at Indiana State, and he is now a senior at Duquesne. He has only played in 2 games this season, and is out with a thumb injury.

They are lead by two double-digit scorers. 5th year player, 6'2" guard Dae Dae Grant is a former Miami-Ohio player who transferred to Duquesne last season and lead them in scoring with 15.5 ppg. This season he also is their leading scorer with 19.0 ppg. 6'3" senior guard Jimmy Clark III is a former juco transfer who averages 16.4 ppg. Both of them shoot 31% from three, and they both shoot a lot of threes (Grant 23-73, Clark 16-51). As a team, Duquesne shoots 35.2% from three.

Hard to believe in this day & age that a relatively new(er) stadium does not have the ability to stream for the games (even High School level) at the venue.

Connor just got onto the court for the first time Saturday for a light workout, and it was hoped he could be ready to play tonight. But apparently he is still slowed by the ankle. There are 3 more days until the next game, SIUE on Thursday (Dec. 21), then another week (Dec. 28 ) until the final non-conference game against Truman State. Obviously, Bradley needs him to be healthy for the resumption of the MVC games on January 3 at Valparaiso.

As noted in the top post, Bradley's schedule page was initially showing an incorrect start time for tonight's game as 7:00 pm.
But now it has been changed to 6:00 pm- https://bradleybraves.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule
And Bradley Basketball social media has posted corrections showing the start time now as 6:00 pm- https://twitter.com/BradleyUMBB/status/1736778354550886405

However, there are still some sources showing the incorrect time of 7:00 pm.
The Game Preview article is still showing the start time as 7:00 pm- https://bradleybraves.com/news/2023/12/17/mens-basketball-game-preview-bradley-vs-duquesne.aspx
Also, the Bradley live audio link still shows the pregame programming will start at 6:29 pm- https://bradleybraves.com/watch/?Live=79&type=Archive

So hopefully, Bradley fans are up to date on the correct start time being 6:00 pm Central, and nobody missed the first hour of the game. :)

Anyone going to be there that could live stream it for us? So disappointing to have a game not be streamed at all in today’s world.

Wow...what can you say that hasn't been said in this losing streak....TOs take the Braves out of a winnable game. Let's be honest...with Hickman out there is only 1 competent PG on the court...Deen, my god your playing a walk on at guard with about 10 minutes playing time in his Bradley career.....that's on the coach, MAJOR recruiting flaw...:mad::mad::mad::mad:

How can your star player Leons go the whole 1st half with only 3 shots? Yet Burch and Ellis drive out of control to the hoop either losing the ball or getting bad passes off.. .make the damn ball go through your star hands.....we are too short on talent to compete...

Just a terrible way for the game to end. Bradley had the ball for the final shot of regulation and a few seconds left. Just needed to inbound the ball and get it to the best shooter.
Instead of the worst case being overtime, they turned it over with just enough time for Duquesne to run down and make a layup to win. Even overtime would not have been a bad outcome there, since Bradley is 2-0 in OT game. But, they didn't even get a shot and end up losing. Ouch.
Bradley had 19 turnovers, which contributed to the loss.
Final score- Duquesne 69 Bradley 67

Next game- Thursday, Dec. 18 at home vs. SIUE

This team definitely isn't the team we all thought they would be.
They don't have a JH with an I will not lose attitude. What i heard about Ellison nade me think we were getting a better player then Zek but he doesnt have Zek's toughness nor his shot.
A lot of of last years team had a toughness that this team, other then Hickman, doesn't have.
There is a long way to go but these newcomers better toughen up and quickly. Hannah and Leons are more finesse players. They did great last year but they don't have the strong players this year to help them out.

Well we lost a close game and coach blamed himself. That was well deserved since he didn’t use the timeout. To lose that way is on coach. Positive things we played harder then last game.Meta dunked!!!! Last two games were disappointing but with Hickman we win both. Unfortunately, a lot of hype is talked on this platform about some of these guys that we have. We have used scholarships on three stiffs and a kid that left. Who knows what he could have gave us off the bench. Coach talks about the guys leaving for the money but he isn’t recruiting to replace those guys. Instead we get guys that are deep bench players or practice players. Played a walk on over scholarship guys tonight which gave us a spark. Hopefully the rough patch will pass and we dance in arch madness.

For all the good they did in this game, (rebounding, 8 blocks, holding them to 42% shooting, 5-19 from 3), the bad of 19 turnovers far out weighs it. We're having a hard time with basic execution on offense and until that gets fixed we will continue to struggle to win games. The offense needs to go through Leons. In 3 of the last 4 games he's taken the 3rd most shots and that's unacceptable. However Leons has a tendency to not assert himself enough. At the end of the day we can't cry about who we don't have. The guys have to just fight through this and believe their hard work in practice will pay off with a win.
